«The Signal is a game with a wide and deep world of discovery and to make that truly the best it can be, we want to work with the community and strive for success with their feedback. With so much player interaction planned for this world, Early Access is a great way to collaborate and improve the quality of the game with the player experience at the forefront of development.»

Hvor lenge antas det at dette spillet vil være i tidlig tilgang?

«We are aiming to be in Early Access for no more than one year, however that is subject to change based on the players' feedback and as we work towards the highest quality experience to a full release.»

Hvordan er det planlagt at fullversjonen skal være forskjellig fra versjonen i tidlig tilgang?

«In addition to bug fixes and improvements on balance and core gameplay, we plan to add a variety of deep biomes, more materials to discover to expand building and crafting, as well as adding additional game mechanics and satisfying amount of mystery to the lore.»

«The game is currently in the internal Alpha stage, but we have a scanning, gathering and crafting game loop supported by various modes of exploration and continuing to flesh out the biomes for a full experience. Please refer to the about section for more and we will continue to update this section with more information as things progress.»

«We do expect the price to increase on full launch due to the additional content. We will clearly communicate any details about this as we work towards that stage so players can make an informed decision about their purchase.»

«We will be active on Steam through blogs and forums, our Discord server and other social media. There will also be a website with even more information and further engagement.»

Uncover the mysteries of an alien planet in this open world survival craft game. Gather resources and craft equipment, buildings, and vehicles to understand, outwit and ultimately overpower the mysterious entity that has lured you here.

A NEW WORLD

You receive a message from a location that doesn’t exist on any galactic maps. It’s an invitation to a world that seems too good to be true! As you approach your ship’s controls are overtaken and you crash land. Can you survive long enough to escape whoever - or whatever - is controlling this place?

INVENT AND BUILD

Necessity is the mother of invention - words that have driven humanity forward throughout time. You must traverse and adapt to multiple biomes, ranging from tranquil glades and rolling hills, to wind-sheared canyons and frigid tundra. Survival-craft your way to saftey, as you build larger and more powerful infrastructure projects.

SURVIVE AND EXPLORE

Player progression is driven by exploration, building and crafting. The more you fulfil this core loop (gather > refine > build) the more you unlock upgraded and complex building and crafting fragments. The more you build the easier it becomes to survive, however you will soon face difficult traversal, environmental and other mysterious challenges. Gameplay can be story-driven or sandboxy, depending on player preference.

UNRAVEL THE MYSTERY

Can you survive and outwit the unknown entity at the core of this planet? Will you escape from its psychologically manipulative clutches? What has truly brought you, and seemingly thousands of other travellers before you, to this place? The Signal draws from the legend of the Sirens in Homer’s Odyssey – luring explorers into dangerous waters on a one-way journey. Don't let this be you, Explorer.

ABOUT GOOSE BYTE

We’re a small team that’s committed to creating worlds and memorable experiences for players. Our studio was founded in Montreal, Canada in September 2021 and became fully independent in July 2023. The Signal is the first game we are making together as a team and we look forward to sharing this sci-fi journey with you.
