« HEKA was originally made for a 30 day Themed Horror Game Jam #2 on Itch.io! A lot of the original ideas weren't able to fit entirely into the timeframe so that's why Early Access is a great way to improve on the original idea and fully implement all the features intended for the Game Jam! »

Hidden secrets wait to be uncovered. . .

The year is 1923, barely more than a century ago the French scholar Jean-Francois Champollion translated ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs on the Rosetta Stone,
marking the beginning of modern Egyptology. Since then several expeditions to Egypt by France, Germany and Britain have taken place, uncovering monolithic structures of stone and ancient tombs packed with gold and esoteric history. One year after Howard Carter’s discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb in the Valley of Kings; a young and eager Egyptologist sets out for the sands of The Giza Necropolis. The shifting of desert sand has led to the appearance of a previously unexplored structure. What will he find venturing into this tomb? Perhaps he will ignore his investors warnings of ancient magic and deadly curses in search for untold riches? Or maybe he will embark on a respectful mission to better understand the esoteric dead that rest there? Why don't you decide?

HEKA is a Mystery and Exploration based game set in the early 1920s. In HEKA, you take the role of eager Egyptologist Randolph Crosby setting out for the Giza Necropolis to be the first to explore an ancient tomb uncovered by shifting sands.

Traverse the crumbling passages of one of the first civilizations to enter the stone age. Avoid deadly traps, decipher ancient hieroglyphs, search for legendary riches, and uncover arcane secrets kept hidden since the dawn of humanity.
