What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I am a single indie developer, and I think I have a uniquely fun product on offer.
However, it is you, the player, who are the judge - and so I offer this experience for your consideration. If you like the idea and want me to continue developing it, please give feedback on how to improve every aspect of the game to ensure that this game can be as successful as it can be.

After many years working as a developer, one thing I have learned is to put a product in front of the customer as early as possible if you want to deliver to the customer what the customer wants. This is your chance to be part of developing a new game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We aim to release the game around summer 2022. Hopefully I have access to the Steam Deck in good time before then, which I think will be a perfect fit for this game.

However, the game will be in early access until the community agrees with me that the game is fit for release. For me this means the game should be good value for money and without game breaking bugs. This game is released into early access very early and as such the game may be in early access for quite a while - it all depends on the reception of the game and the amount of feedback. But this also means, that as a player, you have great influence on how the game will end up in the end.

EA Roadmap/milestones:

1. Finish the universe navigation, planet invasion phase and territory invasion phase.
2. Add a new planet/biome, and story progression for this
3. Add a new boss fight
4. Add new universe invasion phase - side scrolling vertical maps where you shoot enemy waves in an arcade like fashion.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I have no ambition of making a AAA title, but an enjoyable experience of a few hours that a player can play again and again in different ways to unlock new achievements.

The game will be continually improved with more content - more enemies, more weapons, more treasure, more puzzles, more challenges, and even more game modes. There are also plans for local multiplayer with up to 8 players.

The full game will contain a universe full of planets, each with their own boss and a range of territories to conquer. Each territory will contain unique maps and game mechanics.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version is quite light on content - it is one planet only, with a few territories and a boss fight. There is one kind of universe invasion (top down spaceship) and one kind of planet invasion (top down marine) However, there is a lot of procedural generation of content, so the game can be replayed for a different experience every time.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“It is only fair to give something back to the early bird community. The price will try to match to the content offered. That means the price will go up as more content is progressively added.

As an early bird you will pay much less compared to the release price, but in return I expect to gather valuable feedback from you - a win win situation.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I have a discord server where I listen to user feedback. I will also use the Steam Forums actively to communicate about the game.

I want the community to provide as much feedback as possible - good and bad - so we can create the best possible game together.”
