DESCRIPTION

HB&P is a classic old-school RPG inspired by the design and aesthetics of the 80s and 90s. Your decisions will determine how each adventure ends. Every story includes random and dynamic elements, meaning no two playthroughs will ever be exactly the same.

Although HB&P embraces a nostalgic 80s/90s style, we’ve spared you from reading endless blocks of text by keeping the storytelling fast-paced and engaging.

THE GAME

Here’s where it begins: you, the player, create a character from one of eight available classes and enter a medieval fantasy world. The classes are Warrior, Wizard, Rogue, Bard, Necromancer, Priest, Hunter, and Assassin.

This world is made up of stories, each completely replayable thanks to the influence of player decisions, character stats, skills, and items. On top of that, every story includes procedural elements that generate new options, locations, encounters, characters, traps, battles, and random loot—even when you replay the same adventure with the same character! Some stories may also change their plot each time you revisit them, and making different choices will lead to new endings.

TWO GAME MODES

• Unlimited Free Play: Complete adventures in any order and replay them as many times as you like. Choose from six difficulty levels and customize each adventure. Even if your character dies, they keep all earned equipment and loot, and you can start a new adventure—or replay the same one.

• Campaign Mode: Survive through five randomly generated stories played in sequence, with increasing difficulty. If your character dies during the campaign, the adventure ends!

PROGRESSION

As you play, your character earns experience points and levels up, growing more powerful with each adventure. There’s no level cap—you can strengthen your stats as much as you want.
