What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The main features of this game have already been implemented and are playable. Now it's time to polish it. But as an indie developer and sole developer of this project, I have to keep scope in mind. Currently the end-game is still open and can go in two different directions. The first is to simply keep adding chapters, quests and so on. The second is to expand it in a more strategic direction. You use your private army of heroes to subdue the four factions and conquer the world. The decision depends on the reception the game receives and the feedback from the community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I plan to finish the full version within 6 to 12 months.

The current roadmap is:
  • Addition of next chapters, The Prisoner of Zarazar and The Tomb at Azargun
  • Addition of more enemies such as trolls, ghosts, rogue knights, evil wizards and more
  • Addition of new character classes such as Enchantress, Paladin and Berserker
  • Politics, politics, politics. This subject is sorely missing from most RPGs and I would love to include it. Four factions rule this world and as an independent player, you're caught in the middle. This theme is ripe with potential.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is campaign driven and features two chapters, The Bridge at Londoress and The Goblin Lands. Combined, these chapters should provide the player between 30 and 40 hours of gameplay. The full version will include more chapters and more content such as new character classes, enemies, more skills, etc.

I also plan to include a sand-box mode without a campaign in the full version but this needs to be fleshed out more.

I don't plan on releasing this content as DLCs (that would be unfair) and plan on integrating them into the full release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable and includes a campaign mode and a battle simulator. The campaign mode includes two chapters, The Bridge at Londoress and The Goblin Lands. These chapters include many quests by themselves along with a multitude of side quests.

A battle simulator is also included if the player wishes for a quick, random skirmish.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the price of the fully released game will be higher than Early Access. The main reason for this is the addition of new features and content.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community involvement is of the utmost importance to me and the main reason I am releasing this as Early Access. I believe many features such as character customization, hero management and tactical battles will appeal to most players. As a gamer myself having played many RPG titles, I'm very familiar with the genre but I highly value the input of others. There are many gamers out there who are far more experienced and have better ideas than me. I look forward to their input.

Of course, I will be active in the discussion board and plan on releasing a weekly or bi-weekly dev diary updating the progress of the game.”

About This Game

Game currently contains three chapters, The Bridge at Londoress, The Goblin Ambassador, The Goblin Badlands.

The Bridge At Londoress

Goblins have overrun the Bridge at Londoress and destroyed it, severing the path to the Goblin lands. From the stronghold nearby they send out raiding parties to ransack the land. Assemble your team of heroes, take back the stronghold and rebuild the bridge.

The Goblin Ambassador

With the bridge now secured, make your way through the Goblin lands to their Capital of Gunula. From there, escort the Goblin ambassador and secure peace. But beware, not all want peace between Humans and Goblins.

The Goblin Badlands

It's either war or peace between Humans and Goblins. Either way, traverse the treacherous Goblin Badlands seeking the infamous Prison of Zarazar. Within its tortured walls, suffers the fabled Knight Sir Thomas.
