Why Early Access?

“Raidho Games consists of a small team of five game developers. Early Access allows us to further develop the game while you get to be in on the journey.

The early access period will be used to keep updating Astride and adding more features and content to the game. There will be surveys and feedback rounds with the community to make sure we are on track. Even after the early access period is over, there will be more updates and added DLCs with time.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Astride will most likely be in early access for a year or two.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The early access version of Astride will have a fundamental riding system with show jumping practice and some dressage moves. Exploring the open world on horseback and enjoying the environment. Multiplayer features will be available from the early access launch as well as a part of the storyline and some smaller quests. Horse care and stable management will also be available.

The early access period will be used to keep pushing updates and new features to Astride. This includes breeding and genetics, more horse breeds, features like competitions and online high scores. Selling and buying horses between players will be added along with the breeding section of the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The early access currently has a fundamental, but basic riding system in place with horse and rider animations. The environment has had some work. Riding arenas with jumps, forests with trails and a stable with paddocks for the horses. Many more features will come before the early access opens.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“After we leave the early access period, the price of Astride will be raised in accordance with the amount of features and content.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Astride has a dedicated Discord community server where we post work in progress of the game five times a week, Monday through Friday. We have surveys, suggestions and ideas channels and engage the community to brainstorm with us.”
