What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The game is Early Access because there are more features and improvements I want to add to the game. As of this moment, the graphics are generic with only a few sound tracks. The game play is also simplistic and lacks any RPG elements. I plan to add more RPG elements and improve the world creation as well. The game is out now because I want to create a community around this game as a way to brainstorm ideas with the community, as well as assistance in advertising and help in improving my game development skills.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I plan to release the game right before Spring 2022 semester (late January). Although I do hope to work on this game diligently during the Fall 2021 semester (September to early December), the fact of the matter is that I am a senior college student in Civil Engineering, so I probably wont have the time to work on the game. I will most likely be able to make significant progress during the Winter Break (early December to late January), however I am uncertain if I am able to make enough progress to be able to release the game during that time.

In short, the game is expected to come out around January, but this is subject to change and heavily reliant on how much I am able to get done in less than two months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Better art (such as more detailed characters, better styling of the world, and better background features). The game play will have more RPG elements (such as weapon upgrades). There will also be a story to explain why your a box fighting red boxes.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current features in the game are
  • The ability to allow the player to shoot at enemies, as well as follow the mouse.
  • Music and an option to change its volume. There are two sound tracks which which will randomly be picked
  • A high score system that is saved on the computer.
  • Enemies will generate around the player rather than in certain spots on a map
  • Enemies can detect, follow, and shoot at the player
  • Enemies can detect and potentially dodge all bullets on the map. This doesn't show during the game because there is a bug in the code that prevents the enemies from dodging bullets.
  • A credits page that lists all contributors and references who I got my assets from

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“As of this moment the game will remain free as I care more about developing a community rather than monetary gain, also the game isn't in a good enough state to be monetized. However if the game becomes popular and there are a significant amount of updates and game improvements, the game may be monetized, but kept at a low price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan on having surveys and making a discord to get the players opinions on the game, as well as releasing playtests to the community. I do plan on also making a discord in the near future as well as using my Youtube channel to promote the game, answer common questions, and give updates about the game. My Youtube Channel is 4XModder.

As of now, the best way to contact me is through email, which is: justinavila2018@gmail.com”

About This Game

Hey Gamers,

Overview

This is a top-down survivor shooting game, where your goal is to kill as many enemies as possible. Enemies will spawn off screen and will face and head towards you, so be on guard at all times.

Features

  • Tutorial
  • Score and High Score (based on number of enemies killed)
  • Epic sound track by Gabe Orellana
  • Cool sprites from the Youtube channel Brackeys

About the Developer

Hello, I am a young game developer, currently in my senior year of Uni, majoring in Civil Engineering. I have been learning Unity on my off-time for four years now and am finally publishing my first game to Steam. Last year I made several mods for the game Endless Legend, and even made a Youtube channel teaching people how to mod the game. I will try to update the game as frequently as I can, but that all depends on the amount of work I have.

Future Plans

I plan to add a story to this, as well as add more music and better graphics. As for the gameplay, I plan to add RPG elements to make the game more dynamic. I also plan to improve the AI so that enemies can dodge bullets. Technically that is a feature already, but because there are many bullets on the screen, the AI doesnt have enough time to dodge all of them.

System Requirements

    Minimum:
    • OS: Windows
    • Memory: 2 MB RAM
    • Storage: 100 MB available space
