「Early Access was chosen so we can get feedback from players during the last stretch of development.」

「Veil of the Volcano is intended to be in Early Access for exactly one year from the EA release date, but it could be longer if we decide to expand on the game further than initial planning.」

正式版預計會與搶先體驗版有何不同？

「The full version is planned to include a more complete map with more survival mechanics and events. The volcano should become a more central character, and its activity will influence most of the decisions of the tribe. More animals will be added and more interactions with the primitive human tribes will be available, so we plan to also expand quite a bit on the dynamic between the players and the environment.」

搶先體驗版目前的開發進度如何？

「The current Early Access game gives the player the ability to form a tribe and create basic structures. Survival is achieved through foraging, hunting or planting and growing basic foods. The volcano on the island erupts and the island will catch fire. There are a few secrets to find in the jungle and keys to what is in store in the future. There is also a tribe of primitive, humanlike creatures that can be found in the wilderness. Most basic survival skills are in place, and low levels of "understanding" on the tech tree are unlockable.」

「The price will increase slightly after Early Access.」

關於此遊戲

Discover the mysteries of the island and form a tribe to survive the impending volcano eruption. Gather everything you will need to survive after the disaster. Soon the island will be full of life again and you can rebuild.

In Veil of the Volcano you will be born into a tribe living in the shadow of a devastating volcano. You will learn about the world around you and build a tribe that can work together to survive. Once the volcano blows its top you'll want to run and hide, because it could cause the entire island to burn to the ground. It won't grow back until the Spring, so be sure to think ahead. You only get one chance to build up your knowledge, teach others in your group and collect the supplies needed to last through the hardship.

Understanding is unlocked upon becoming a toddler. From here the rest of the tree is unlocked as knowledge points are acquired. Everything a player does gives some knowledge points, and specific tasks give more to specific areas. Example; crafting items gives more knowledge to the crafting branch.

There is an education system in the game that allows players to teach other players in their tribe. At lower levels they are able to pass on small amounts of knowledge on basic skills to individual players, but at higher levels they are able to pass on massive amounts of knowledge to large groups. A master educator can also craft items that will assist other players with gaining knowledge.

The volcano that looms over the island may go off at any time, and when it does parts or all of the island may be destroyed. If you and your tribe haven’t prepared for this event, you may be in for a very hard winter. Regardless of when the volcano erupts, the majority of island plant life will not grow back until the Spring.
