“Having played the demo for several hours I cannot recommend the game enough. Even though it was only a demo I find myself coming back to relax among the clouds. I cannot wait for the full release!”

Varför Early Access?

“Since the early stages of development in 2021 and the public demo release in 2022, we've established a close-knit connection with our player base, who actively playtested the game and provided valuable feedback. By regularly updating the demo with new content, features, and art, we've been able to refine the gameplay experience with the community’s insight at every step of the way. Early Access will allow our small indie studio to continue this collaborative process while also providing the necessary revenue to complete the development of Aloft, in line with our production capacity and long-term vision.”

“Aloft will remain in Early Access for at least a year, with regular updates planned throughout this period.”

“We have a ton of content planned for Aloft. The full version of the game will contain brand new game mechanics, more explorable biomes, meteorological events, building types, challenges to overcome, and much more. There will also be quality of life improvements, such as optimization and new user interfaces. Most importantly, getting the game in your hands will provide us with an amazing wealth of information about what works and what can be improved. The full version will have more content and will be greatly refined through community feedback and iteration.”

“The current state of Aloft is a solid base for an exploration-focused crafting, building, open-world sandbox survival game. It has been designed to accommodate the addition of more intricate features and systems in the future. The Early Access version includes the following:

  • Singleplayer + Multiplayer modes (with private join system and public lobbies)
  • Resource collecting, crafting, building, skyship sailing, gliding, farming, and cooking
  • 3 diverse biomes to explore
  • A range of enemy types
  • Hundreds of building and decoration pieces
  • Many crops to farm and animals to care for

“The price will likely increase for the 1.0 release, but it is not determined at this point.”

“Maintaining an open and transparent dialogue with our community is a top priority for us. Through playtests, surveys, and the public demo, we have actively engaged with our players to gather valuable feedback, which has been and will continue to be integral to our development process, especially as we release future patches.

Our Discord server is the best way to share feedback directly with the developers. Additionally, we monitor our Steam discussions and social media platforms. We have also added an in-game bug reporting tool, allowing players to submit reports directly to our database, complete with their player log and an optional screenshot.”

Aloft is a feel-good, cozy survival game set in the clouds, where you can transform any island into a flying ship and explore the vast skies.

Navigate the world, discover new islands, gather resources, build your dream home, and take care of your animals, solo or as a group of up to 8 friends.

Yet within nature’s beauty, a corruption spreads. Root it out and cure the fungi threat that devours all other life. Uncover lost knowledge, brew powerful antidotes, enrich the biodiversity of the islands, and restore balance to the airborne ecosystem.

Aloft’s feel-good survival is more about rewarding positive action than punishing mistakes.

The sky provides everything you need; cook up delicious meals for buffs, gather resources to craft tools, and explore to find new technology. Soar the open sky freely and discover ancient ruins to uncover the secrets of the past.

Soar the open skies in a vast sandbox world and turn any island into your personal skyship.

Build and customize it into your personal home. With a helm, rudder, and sails constructed, you are ready to sail the winds and explore the skies. You are the captain of your adventure!

The wind is an ever-present ally in Aloft.

Install windmills and a network of cables and pulleys to automate your machines and production. Fly into strong winds to supercharge your crafting power and sailing speed, but make sure your sails can handle it.

Each island is its own living ecosystem, vulnerable to unsustainable gathering and the fungi corruption.

Find and cure islands from corruption by defeating the mushroom creatures in combat. Craft antidotes to save animals and restore islands to a state of harmony. By restoring their biodiversity, you gain access to new special resources, and make them more resistant to the corruption.

Collect seeds and animals on your travels and bring them to your home island.

Plant various crops in your garden to cook up delicious recipes, and care for the cuddliest of animals to gain rare resources. Form a true bond by meeting all their needs, and they will even protect you.

Creativity lies at the heart of Aloft, which can be enjoyed as a peaceful solo experience or with up to 7 other players.

Bring your entire island base when you join another player’s world, and create a small village of sky explorers. Use the in-game island creator to design anything you can imagine, then share it with the community to populate their worlds.


Craft the island of your dreams, challenge the corruption, restore balance, and express your creativity in the limitless skies of Aloft.
