“During Early Access it will likely remain free as in-app credits can be spent for generation. The credits to generation ratio may vary as we find out the load on our systems and associated costs (hosting, GPU, etc.)

After early access, depending on how much we built out the features, it may become paid which will include starting credits. Anyone who acquired it before, will of course get to keep it.”
