Wozu Early Access?

„This game was originally created for iOS & Android but is currently being redesigned for PC. I think it is more fun on the PC as mobile controls do limit the gameplay design. This game is Early Access because the core gameplay loop is set and functional. However, there are a variety of changes relating to gameplay, UI design, controller functionality and much more that I would like to accomplish. I am the only person working on this so it will take some time.

Without the limitation of a mobile platform, I would like to make this game faster-paced, challenging, and engaging.“

„POLY SYNTH GUNNER should be out of early access 3-12 months. The wide range time frame is because I am the only person working on this and I may be limited on how much time I can dedicate to this project at a consistent rate.“

„The current state of POLY SYNTH GUNNER is a playable arcade-style first person shooter has 5 instance-based maps to play on. The core gameplay of trying to survive an endless wave of enemies that scales indefinitely while you upgrade your weapons should all be functional.

Some sound effects and animations are also currently not available but will be added soon.

It is very likely this game will have minor bugs related to sound, UI functionality, and gameplay. I have not encountered anything game-breaking yet.

Gamepad controller should work during gameplay and navigating menus. However, ease of use and quality of life is limited. There are currently no icons, no aim assist, no recommended configuration, and other missing features. If the generic gamepad is not plugged in before the gamei s started, it may not be detected in-game.“

„The game will NOT be priced differently during and/or after Early Access. I also do not plan on adding any microtransactions to this game.“

„I would love community input on how the game scales progressively relative to enemy damage, spawn rate, and player damage/survivability. Your feedback will help balance the game and provide for a more engaging experience.

Furthermore, community input will influence other aspects of the gameplay such as the design of the maps, core functionality of the weapons & abilities, and enemy engagement.

If there are certain feature the community wants, I will also consider adding them barring that I can achieve it in a reasonable time frame.“

POLY SYNTH GUNNER is an arcade-style first person shooter with an endless wave of enemies that scales indefinitely. Action is high-paced and will require you to be constantly moving as different enemies will charging at you, shooting projectiles, and more. The longer you survive, the harder the game will get as enemies will do more damage, spawn at a faster rate, and cover the map with projectiles in a bullet hell-like manner. To survive, you are equipped with a variety of different weapons and abilities that will help you stay alive. As you kill enemies, you will earn points that can be used to upgrade your weapons and abilities on-the-go. The gameplay is entirely instance-based meaning progression is not carried over. Points are not carried over so don't be ashamed to spend your points unabashedly. Upgrades are not carried over. Death is death.

You can choose to be a jack of all trades and upgrade your weapons and abilities equally. Alternatively, you can choose to specialize on one ability and one weapon. Play the game the way you want to play it. Currently, the game has three different weapons: machine gun, electric shotgun, and grenade launcher. Each weapon has their own intended initial purpose depending on the situation of focusing on a single target or multiple enemies. As you upgrade each weapon, you may find that they diverge from their initial purpose. There are also three different abilities: power, shield, and summon. When the Power ability is activated, you will temporarily dual wield your weapons with unlimited ammo and regain health per kill. The Shield ability provides you with a shield buff and increases your base speed. The Summon Ability allows you to summon little astronauts that will follow you wherever you go and protect you.
