Miksi Early Access?

Because I still have a lot to do, and I would like the community to help me make the best product possible, the feedback I got from the demo was already incredible.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

I plan to finish the storyline along with a new game+ plot. I plan on finishing the open world for you to explore. I plan on adding more spirits and more abilities, and to iron out the balance of those, as well as improve UI and UX where possible.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

Currently there is about 4-6 hours of gameplay, with three of the five main areas unlocked, and about half of the spirits available.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

As long as the game is in early access, the price will be lower than what it is after release.

Miten yhteisö otetaan mukaan kehitysprosessiin?

I'll be taking in all the feedback I can get. Everything I got from the people on my Discord server (link: discord.gg/Ghe2gdW) and the discussions tab on Steam have already made the game so much better, it's a no-brainer.

EARLY ACCESS DISCLAIMER

Since the game is growing and changing, your saves are not safe.
After large patches there is a big chance they will be obsolete and useless.
After we move to 1.0 they will be obsolete. You will have to start from scratch.

This phase is for people who:

- are too curious to wait,
- are truly interested in helping it make better,
- and those who just want an early bird discount.

Tietoa pelistä

A lockdown during a crisis. You can't go anywhere. At least not until a portal to a magical land opens in your bedroom.

Weirdlands is an RPG inspired by classics like Final Fantasy, Earthbound, Undertale, etc., but it's also very much its own thing.

You can recruit or capture pretty much any enemy you fight. The stronger, unique spirits have their own personalities and storylines. They can absorb other spirits you capture, gaining their abilities. With combining spirits like that, you can find combinations that work best for you, and even some hidden combos.

There is a proper point & click inventory with proper point & click items for solving proper point & click puzzles, but since it is an RPG, you can solve most puzzles in different ways, often with brute force, just make sure your brawn stat is high enough.

After you finish the game (or by turning it on in the options), you can start a new game+, which dramatically changes both story and game mechanics, giving you a very different experience.

There is a huge amount of lore to uncover, both through the story itself and by exploring and finding hidden hints about what is going on in the world(s). Themes you'll encounter deal with freedom, control, exploitation and oppressive power structures.
