That Which Rises is a mechanically-deep, dark fantasy RPG in which the player assumes the role of a cultist bent on awakening ancient, eldritch entities.

Imbued with a small measure of their chosen master’s horrific power, players seek to corrupt the nation of Dyavol through guile and treachery.

Gameplay features:

  • A large, open-world map filled with villages, towns and cities
  • A large variety of recruitable units
  • Turn-based, grid battles
  • Complex strategic-level AI
  • Numerous factions that act independently of the player
  • Different methods of attacking, sabotaging or influencing your enemies
