¿Por qué ofreces acceso anticipado?

«Bosslords is already fully playable from start to finish, but there is still so much more we could (and want to) do with it! So at this point in development, we feel there's a great opportunity for the game to grow and evolve with ideas and suggestions coming from the community itself.
Also, the team making this game is really small, so our time and resources are fairly limited. Releasing Bosslords in Early Access makes the process of polishing and balancing the game more efficient.»

¿Cuánto tiempo va a estar este juego en acceso anticipado aproximadamente?

«We hope to have the full version of Bosslords done in 2022, but the game has so many mechanics and systems working in tandem it might take longer. There is also the fact that the game can be expanded upon in so many ways, content-wise. But as we move into 2022, the release date for the full version will become more clear.»

¿Qué diferencias habrá entre la versión completa y la versión de acceso anticipado?

«There will be a few more rounds of polish regarding gameplay systems, visuals, UI and audio.
The biggest differences will be in the amount of content though:
  • More playable Bosslords to unlock
  • Additional new realms to visit
  • More events to experience
  • New minions to recruit and enemies to face
  • Numerous items and spells added

¿Cuál es el estado actual de la versión de acceso anticipado?

«The core features are all in the game. As of now, it contains campaigns for 5 different playable characters, all with unique unlocks, abilities and storylines.
One finished run of the game takes around 45 minutes, but since the game is run-based we expect players to go through the game several times with each character to explore and unlock more content.
The game currently has 30+ unique minions to recruit, 100+ items and 30+ spells to acquire, 5 different realms, 100+ events to experience and 75+ tracks of music. Or to sum it up: there is quite a lot of content in the game already, and more will be added.
With that said, graphics are work in progress at certain spots and some of the sounds have yet to be implemented and balanced.»

¿El precio del juego será diferente durante y después del acceso anticipado?

«Our goal is to keep the price the same during Early Access, but if we end up adding a ton content during development we might consider increasing the price slightly.
Once we reach full version, the price will increase to some degree to reflect the amount of content that's been added.»

¿Cómo tienes planeado involucrar a la comunidad en tu proceso de desarrollo?

«Our goal is to stay in contact with our community throughout the development, and we already have ways for players to talk to us through Twitter and Discord. We encourage everyone to jump in and tell us what they think!
We have also been thinking about letting people vote for new content they want or come up with ideas and suggestions for what might be a interesting additions to the game.»

Bosslords - a new type of roguelite!

Bosslords is a new type of roguelite where have to gather an army of rather cheerful monsters and beasts to fight alongside you in tactical real-time battles. You play as one of several Bosslords, each with their unique abilities and storylines, and move around on maps in a variety of regions.

Similar to games like FTL, you are also being chased by an enemy on the map and if you get caught you'd better be ready for a tough battle! On the map, there are points of interest that lead to various story events, battles and, of course, loot!

You can find a huge variety of equipment for both your minions and your bosslord. You can also equip your Bosslord with various spells to use during combat. But your main offense is still your horde of minions. Place the minions in formations that make the best use of their unique strengths and have them charge into battle.
If you lose a battle or make a bad decision, the group morale drops. Once it's down to 0, it's game over. But do not fret! By defeating bosses in the game you earn special coins, that can be used to gain additional starting formations and upgrades for your Bosslords and even unlock new characters!
