Poor Lucas and the Evil Duke is a Metroidvania with action and RPG elements. Jump, slide, wall jump, swim, and battle your way through the Dukedom. Other mechanics include pushing boxes, pulling levers, and swinging on ropes. Enemies drop essences that will eventually unlock stat boosts or spells. Items in the game may be dropped as magic or can be enchanted.

This game was built as a hobby, so it might not be the prettiest thing, but it is designed to be fun. This game features a level scaling system that raises monster levels as you complete the map. This keeps the game challenging as you progress through the game. Weapons and armor have levels based on the enemies that dropped them as well.
