“This is a neat lightish turn-based tactics game with a campaign and 2 different modes of play (difficulty levels). The unique thing about it is it has deckbuilder qualities as you gain gold in a battle that you use to hire units, buy spells, buy buildings and repair your stronghold. You choose which units to bring into battle based on a limit set by the battle itself. You can sell units and such back when you outgrow them. The game plays out as a combination of chess meets a CCG. The soundtrack is also very calming and relaxing and I enjoyed it.”

Prepare for battle! A Token War combines deckbuilding, turn-based strategy, and challenging tactical gameplay in a game that will challenge your strategic assumptions – encouraging creativity as you develop new and varied battleplans for every level.

As you progress through the game, you’ll build up your arsenal of unique Tokens to employ in battles across five distinct regions. Upgrade your stronghold to maximize your strength – and utilize powerful spells to turn the tide of battle. With a combination of both random and designed encounters, each game requires you to come up with unique tactics in order to utterly crush the enemy!

  • A New Style of Deckbuilding: Build a collection of unique tokens and spells, and strategically select them so that each battle utilizes your strengths and creativity rather than fate.

  • Designed and Procedural Encounters: Each encounter combines designed and procedural elements to create a more varied and dynamic experience. Try out different Upgrade/Token/Spell combinations to find the most effective composition for each battle!

  • Powerful Upgrades: Earn new and powerful upgrades for your stronghold, which can dramatically alter your tactics – or bolster your current strategy.

  • Local Versus Mode: Bring the fight to your friends and family using a shared pool of tokens.
