Why Early Access?

However, we aren't done yet! We love making this game and want to add additional content like factions, game modes, online multiplayer connections, and optimizations prior to a 1.0 release.”

“As we are in active development, Starforge may have bugs, crashes, and performance issues. We will try our best to keep the game experience as stable as possible, however issues will crop up from time to time. Supporting Starforge now in early access will allow us to fine tune, and add new content in conjunction with player feedback that will help us shape the full release of the game.””

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

““Starforge will be in Early Access until our team and the community are pleased with a finalized version.

We currently expect 9-12 months of ongoing development after launch to get the game up to its full potential. However, work will continue for as long as required.””

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

““The full version of Starforge will have features that are planned for the tabletop game as well. This means two more player factions, extra AI’s for the player to be able to fight against different factions in solo mode, and possibly a multiplayer mode (PvP). We’re committed to delivering a solid user experience along with improvements to gameplay in order to serve our player base.””

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

““Although we're aiming for stability, bugs and missing features are to be expected!

Much of our core systems, and game play experience are fully playable. The player can completely play a Solo mode match against the Goo playing as Terrans, also in-game achievements can be unlocked and the profile can be customized with a username, titles, banners and badges!

We expect to continue this approach of development and look to have new features roll out that compliment and improve the experience for both new and veteran players.””

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

““We want to ensure that our pricing is fair based on available content and gameplay experience which will result in different pricing post-launch due to updates during the Early Access period.””

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

““Feedback is an essential part of development that requires excellent communication between developers and their community. We have an in-game feedback button where any player can leave feedback/bugs they find and want to share with us.

While in Early Access, we look forward to engaging with our community on Discord, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram receiving their feedback and giving them honest updates and remaining transparent to continue building a strong relationship with our fans.””
