· Opening act of the story, fully playable

Step into the role of Hira, a mysterious child fated to stand against ancient gods. Fallen Tear: The Ascension combines the emotional weight and party-building of classic JRPGs with the freeform exploration of Metroidvanias and just a sprinkle of roguelike challenge. Every death teaches. Every bond matters.

A Love Letter to JRPGs—Told Through a Hand-Drawn Metroidvania

Explore a massive, interconnected world presented through gorgeous hand-drawn traditional animation and full professional voice acting! Venture through lush forests, lost cities, and forgotten ruins, all teeming with hidden pathways and challenges to conquer. Journey across with over 10 of Raoah’s interconnected regions, six main bosses (and three optional bosses!), and experience the story’s opening act during the Early Access Release.

Become Raoah’s Fiercest Warrior

Slash, parry, and dodge incoming attacks from all directions. Customize Hira’s loadout with a wealth of combat skills and abilities while exploring all Raoah has to offer. Learn enemy attack patterns, swap weapons and items, and switch up strategies mid-battle to keep enemies and bosses always second-guessing!

Form Unwavering Bonds

Forge friendships with mages, swordsmen, tricksters, and healers through the Fated Bonds system. Inspired by fan-favorite JRPG party assist and battle systems, recruit allies and harness their abilities in combat and traversal. Journey alongside more than 16 fully-voiced allies, each with their own abilities to experiment with, sidequests to complete, and stories to unravel.

Stake Your Claim

Customize a Castle towering above all of Raoah and take refuge in the Temple of Oras. Fill this hub with friendly faces, both new and old, from across this vast world. Complete minigames to acquire upgrades and forge the Temple of Oras into a reflection of Hira’s adventures and relationships made along the way.

Take Hira’s acquired skills and allies to take on vicious boss battles. Swap tactics on the fly, exploit their weaknesses, and strike at the right moment. With each boss battle conquered, Hira is one step closer to uncovering his murky past.
