Varför Early Access?

“To give players an idea of our game's design and allow players to give us feedback early in development.”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“As long as we need, we aren't going to release a half made game. We do hope to have a polished feature-complete game by December 2025 which would include all combat mechanics, an in-depth magic system, interesting quests, and some captivating locations. From there, we will continue to build out the world's scale, lore, and content.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“Early Access will give an overall demonstration of Shaype's gameplay. Combat, questing, dialogue, and character progression will all make their way into Early Access, demonstrating Shaype's foundation as a game.

Full release will expand upon and polish the features demonstrated in Early Access.”

“Currently, our demo contains the first level of Shaype. Players can expect around 2-4 hours of content which provides a good example of what we hope to achieve with Shaype.”

“Shaype will most likely gradually increase in price as content is added.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“The community will be able to engage in the development process through our demos/builds released on Steam.

Updates to Shaype will allow players to test various aspects of gameplay, such as melee and ranged combat, stealth, magic, skills/character development, quest design, and world-building.

Players can share their feedback and help guide the development of Shaype primarily through our Sinking Ship Studios Discord or through our other various social media platforms that can all be found on our website.”

Shaype is a singleplayer fantasy action role-playing game which emphasizes player agency while combining engaging action combat with flexible RPG character progression.

Player Agency and Reactivity

  • Shaype offers multiple resolutions to the problems of diverse characters in a reactive world, rewarding imagination and creativity through versatile player-driven outcomes.

Combat

  • Shaype's combat was designed to be easy to learn but hard to master, testing the ability of the player to problem solve and find openings to strike.

  • Shaype features angled melee combat, ranged combat, stealth, abilities, and an in-depth spell crafting system for magic.

Character Progression

  • Shaype presents an open-ended progression system which supports the mixing and matching of typical RPG playstyles. Build your character however you wish.

World

  • Shaype is set in the inhospitable land of Paradise. Build reputation with the competing factions and settlements that tensely share this harsh and violent land.

The game includes frequent occurrences of cartoon blood and violence. Due to the game being heavily designed around player choice the player will always have the option to solve situations with violence. Our world is designed to look bright and happy but is filled with dark themes that include the use/discussion of fantasy drugs and alcohol. At times the game may allow the users to coerce or even force other characters to inflict harm upon themselves leaving them wounded or even dead.
