'Early access was chosen as a way to help fund further development of the game as I make it, as well as to engage with the community for feedback.



(Original/Outdated) Early access allows me to get the game to players as soon as possible too and helps to build a community to which I can obtain feedback and make the game even better. This will include improving and adding to released episodes as well as upcoming in-development episodes.
As a solo developer, it can be difficult to know the right solution to a problem so by letting people play the game in an early stage, I can collaborate with the core fans to build the game to be as good as it can be.'

Hellscreen will release in Q4 2025.


(Original/Outdated) Hellscreen will come out of early access once all three episodes are finished.
In terms of how long each episode will take to finish is hard to say at the moment but I expect the following:

Episode 1 - March 2023
Episode 2 - Early 2024
Episode 3 - mid-to-late 2024 - Out of Early Access

There will be quality of life and community suggestions implemented between the episodes however.'

Due to the games sever under performance and external funding being non existent, I am unable to fully realize the full version of Hellscreen as originally intended and described below.
Sometimes games get cancelled and this sadly, is one of those situations so
the full version will be Episode 1 only + some cut content.
A price cut will also be applied. Expect 2-4 hours of content, depending on skill level.

The full version will be much cheaper than it is now though that it is yet to be determined. This will change to account for the cancelled content as detailed above.
If in doubt, wait till 1.0 release!

'During Early access, I will be inviting and encouraging players to give feedback on the steam forums, on Twitter, and on the Hellscreen discord, of which I have a dedicated feedback channel.
This feedback will be looked at and will have an effect on the process of development throughout.'
