為何採用搶先體驗模式？

「Early Access allows a solo developer like myself to ensure the best product experience for you, the player! I'm the only individual currently working on this project, and it seems it will be that way for quite a while.

Early Access allows me to release the game with a ~75% completion status while continuing to work on the game, receiving your feedback in the process, allowing me to create a better game overall.

Our goals for Early Access release are 2 playable environments, all complete with their own enemies, bosses, items, points of interest, consumables, and the like. These locations are the:

Deepest Pines, a fog ridden forest cluttered with ghoulish foes and abandoned cabins alike.

and the

Frostworth Valley, an icy hellscape only the bravest dare venture to. Better bring a jacket, and a shotgun, because the cold isn't the only thing out to get you.


Six months after Early Access Release I plan to have a 100% complete game for all of you to enjoy, including two more locations ("The Scorch", and "Amber Nightmare"), more consumables, more enemies, more weapons, bug fixes, a full soundtrack, all for a complete experience.

But first, to get there I need your help through feedback and support! That's why Early Access is such a useful tool for a game's community.」

「With the development time frame I have, I only plan for Discount Paranormal to be in Early Access for about 6 months at maximum. The majority of the work will be done before the game is even released in Early Access, and I feel as if any additional polishing and completion will only take this long. Anything after that will most likely be free additional content!」

正式版預計會與搶先體驗版有何不同？

「The full version is planned to have 4 different complete environments, each of which with its own soundtrack, enemies, additional weapons, and the like.

The early access version is planned to only release with 2 to 3 different environments depending on how busy things get in my personal life.」

搶先體驗版目前的開發進度如何？

「Currently, the project is in pre-release (pre-alpha) which means I'm still planning for events, getting the word out, building a community, and working on devlogs!

Currently, I have one environment in progress, the base engine in place, and am working to ensure we're ready for Early Access release.

Once we're at Early Access release, we'll have the previously mentioned 2 to 3 different environments.」

遊戲售價在搶先體驗期間前後會有所變動嗎？

「Yes! As mentioned above, people can buy the game at a lower price (~75% lower) when the game is in Early Access.

Once the game is released, it will raise to its originally intended price.」

在開發過程中，您打算如何與社群互動？

「Right now, I'm trying to make sure to do regular streams and plan to also release videos entailing the development process!

This gives people a firsthand look at what I'm doing with the project. Transparency and learning are very important!」
