What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Machine learning is a new technology that has never been used to its full potential in video games. We want to push the boundaries of what’s possible for ML in gameplay to create an exciting and memorable experience, but to do that, we’ll need the help of our community.

We’ve been working hard to create a compelling, uniquely ML-driven antagonist for this game. To get this far, we’ve needed to run a lot of experiments—not to mention creating a brand-new set of development tools. But if we’re going to make this game (and our AI) truly revolutionary, we’re going to need feedback and ideas from the people who matter most: our players.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“For the features we currently have in mind, we will need at least 6 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In addition to generally polishing the experience, we are planning to add a level editor and a way to distribute levels to other players. We may also add more ways to tinker with the machine learning if players are interested.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of the early access version includes the base game as described on the about this section, supported only on Windows. An arcade mode in which the player runs through a randomly-generated level is currently implemented.
  • Machine Learning via neural network that is trained locally on the player's computer in real time.
  • Physics engine & custom built lighting engine
  • Randomly generated levels
  • Environment mechanics including: destructible boxes, teleporters, gravity wells, conveyor belts, and more.
  • Traps and power-ups the player can collect and use to their advantage against the killer robot.
  • Original sound and music.
  • Original pixel artwork.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price is planned to be increased once at the time of leaving early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We believe that feedback is a gift.

We will get the community involved throughout development. We have an existing Discord channel ( where we want to engage with the community. Or can reach us on Twitter (@StrifeAILLC). We will also host developer live-streams on Twitch where we can ask the community what new features they would like to see and program them in real time.”

About This Game

The Helios Council has just discovered that Tenjin Research Corp. has been conducting illicit AI research in deep space. Now, as a Helios agent, it’s time for covert damage control. Your mission: infiltrate the research station, assess the threat level, and destroy their work if necessary. Good luck, agent.

The star of this game is a robotic chaser, powered by AI, that follows your player as you run throughout a labyrinthine space station. Your robotic nightmare is learning from your every move. Each item you use, every path you take, and every juke you attempt will help it adapt and anticipate your next move. You’ll have to think creatively, innovate new strategies, and keep changing your own tactics if you want to outsmart the machine.

Evade your enemy with 2D, side-scrolling platforming. Run, jump, slide, and even teleport to traverse the inner workings of the space station.

It’s not just the AI robot learning and adapting—we are too! This is an Early Access game, so as we learn more about its performance and get ideas from players, you can expect even more features and new ways to experience the game.
