About

Mud and Blood was, for the most part, created in an unlikely place: an outpost somewhere between Kandahar and Panjway, Afghanistan. Initially developed as a flash game by urb in between missions on a beat-up laptop, it became a way to decompress from the chaos. Ironically, a game about brutal, unforgiving war was itself forged in the heart of a conflict. What began as a personal project has since evolved into a cult classic, beloved by a fiercely loyal community for over 16 years.

At its core, Mud and Blood embraces a unique philosophy: challenge, not comfort. The gameplay is punishingly difficult, but it respects your tactical sense and cognitive ability. It doesn’t drip-feed you success to keep you engaged. Every decision matters, every mistake is costly, and every victory is hard-earned. This is a game that trusts its players to make tough calls on the fly, think critically, and persevere through chaos and loss.

In Mud and Blood, war is not heroic. It’s messy, unpredictable, and brutal.
