What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Hold The Line is currently a gameplay prototype produced as the FMP of my university degree. It is being released in early access as there are still some big ideas yet to be implemented into the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“There is still a lot more to come from the game, with many planned updates to come. The aim is to have the game in closer to a finished state in roughly six months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Currently there is a limited amount of units to be used by the player, one way to group units and only one level. I have many more features planned to implement into this game to build up around the current product. This includes but is not limited to unit animations, more maps, game modes and a more controlled system of grouping units.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is currently in the state of a gameplay prototype, in that all of the core gameplay mechanics are implemented and working, such as waves of enemies, a castle to defend and most importantly the ability to manoeuvre and manage friendly units to fight off the assault.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“It is undecided if the pricing will change in the future at this point, however there is a possibility of the price rising gradually with the introduction of new content.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I am always open and willing to receive, discuss and take on feedback. Please feel free to contact me via the Steam forums or via Twitter @JJ_Lawts.”
