Why Early Access?

“Hello, dear players,
I'm Lucy, the only developer of this game.

Currently the game is in Early Access stage. It has 9 individual story lines for now. I'm planning to add several more story lines in the future.

Please note that as I'm the only person that is working on this game, this game definately isn't as good as other commercial otome games, and it certainly does not represent the average level of Chinese visual novel games.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The early access stage will remain until the rest of story lines are finished.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The complete version will have more story lines than the current version.
However, because each character's story is individual, therefore players won't have trouble such as having to wait for the ending of a specific character's story.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently the individual stories are completed (but mostly without English translation). Only Moran's line has been translated in English for now. The English demo could be found in demo branch "VersionEnglish".”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“This is a free game. It will remain to be free after the early access stage ends.”

About This Game

I currently can't promise that there'll be an English version (for the complete game).

For now, there's only an English demo which covers the beginning of the game and Moran's line. The translation is done by myself and the translation is not beta-ed. You can add demo to your STEAM library and choose the "VersionEnglish" branch to download the English demo.

Recommend you to check the integrity of game files if you have changed a branch.

I'm having some difficulties in my job, so for some time I probably won't be able to update the English translation. But if you want to give me some advice on grammar mistakes in this game, it's welcomed and please send me an email(1263040030@qq.com).

If you want to help translate this game, you can also email me. However, I'm pretty unwilling to spend more money on this game, so (although I might be willing to give you some kind of reward) the reward won't be much.

The Game of The Playful is a visual novel created by one person (characters are drew by outsourced artists). The engine used by this game is Visual Novel Maker.

In this visual novel, you'll play as the Heroine and experience nine individual stories. In each story, you will establish either friendship or romantic relationships with a character. All nine stories are independent from each other, so you'll be dating with only one person in one story.
