You were meant to investigate high-profile cases and bask in the spotlight as the colony’s best detective. Instead of being at the top, you’re actually closer to rock bottom. Still, you can be of use to someone - to people, to androids. Fortunately, fame and fortune don’t matter all that much to you. When someone is found in a dark alley, it is the Detective’s duty to investigate it. In that regard, not much has changed in centuries. It’s what you do. It’s what you’re good at. After all, in order to fall from the top, you have to get there first.
