What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The game is nowhere near "finished". I'd love to keep working on it with a community of my own, helping me pick what's best for the game and make it even better!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Approximately 2 to 4 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The core gameplay won't change - you will always have a tiny square jumping around a 1x1 tileset, however, I am planning on adding many more levels and even harder difficulities, a way to remap keybinds in-game, more fancy animations for menu, more "power-ups" (like a crystal that changes gravity), and hopefully a level builder, where everyone could build their own levels and share it on the Steam Workshop. I also want to add Steam Cloud support and Steam Achievements.

Currently the game has controller support, but it might not fully have it when new menus are added - like the level builder, which will require alot of copying and pasting into text boxes, so a mouse & keyboard will be required, but I am planning to eventually achieve full controller support after that.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of Early Access is quite empty - there aren't many levels (only 3, for a total of 75 rooms), and only 3 difficulity levels (easy, normal, hard). There also is no way to remap keybinds, and no way to create your own levels, and no Steam Cloud support or achievements. Hovever, everything in the "About This" section is already implemented - respawn counter, best time counter, fps limiter, and controller support!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Always. Free. Forever.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Listen to them, talk to them, maybe even let the community vote on future updates. I will try to be as active as I can, here on Steam, on the Discord server (), and anywhere else I can!”

About This Game

A minimalistic platformer with a 1x1 tileset. No enemies, no bullets, no lasers. Just sheer platforming.

Micro Platformer is a seriously minimalistic 2D platformer. A 1x1 tileset and a small square is not just a part of the artwork, it's a way to tell you exactly what the hitboxes are. Why? Well, there are quite a few difficulity levels. Some of them are not easy. At all. I wanted this game to be the simplest platformer I could possibly make, without making it empty, or easy. Did I do a good job? Well, one way to find out! c: Oh yeah, the classic feature listing. Here:

Features

  • Different difficulty levels - play whatever fits your skill and patience best!
  • Best time measurement - how fast can you beat a level?
  • Respawn count - inb4 500 respawns on hard
  • Fps limiter - wowzies, that surely is a rare thing these days! (bruh)
  • Controller support - couch gaming! bed gaming!

Have fun! :D
