What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We had originally planned to fully release Virtual Presenter Pro and update it throughout the upcoming months with features and improvements. However, we quickly realized that we could deliver a much better application by listening to you and letting your feedback shape future development. We want to know what YOU would like to see in Virtual Presenter Pro. Tell us what kinds of neat tools/features that would help you improve during your virtual presentations and we will do our best to make it a virtual reality.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to work on Virtual Presenter Pro throughout the summer with a full release in August or September.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The finished product will have many more features, improved graphics, and presentation customizability.

In terms of features, we have many tools in mind that we would like to implement and we are also open to new ideas! We currently plan to add presentation upload support where you can upload slides and interact with them in the virtual environment, customizable note cards that you will be able to either copy/paste text inside or upload through image files, and real-time audience feedback. We also want to add additional metrics to your presentation analysis, such as tracking your hand gestures, vocal pitch, and volume, then provide feedback on those data points.

Currently, the graphics are not optimized very well for virtual reality. We plan to change that by changing our lighting system to be more VR-Friendly and update some of the rougher textures. We also plan to accommodate different types of resolutions more smoothly as certain aspect ratios currently can cause a graininess in graphical quality.

We plan to allow you to be able to choose through a variety of different presentation styles in the future instead of only having control over your presentation environment. You will be able to practice impromptu speaking along with both your own speeches, and slideshow presentations. You will be able to set your own time or use a stopwatch, control the number of audience members, and control sounds/ambience. This is where we especially need your feedback, so please tell us what other parts of your presentation you would like to have control over. We want to match your intended scenario as close as we can.

We intend on most of these additions to be in the final version, though it is entirely possible for some features to be cut or others to be added depending on the feedback we receive.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, we have core features included for four different presentation environments. This includes a classroom, conference room, boardroom, and an outdoors environment. You are able to choose to present in any of these locations in front of a virtual, simulated audience. In terms of presentation, we are currently geared more towards practicing impromptu speaking. During your presentation, we analyze many different factors such as filler words said, speech time, how quickly you talked, and where you looked around the room. You are given feedback on all of this after the presentation is complete.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to price Virtual Presenter Pro based on the amount of functionality that is added before the final release. If there is a significant number of new features and improvements added, then there may be a slight price increase only if we feel it is justified. Otherwise, it will stay the same.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Using the Steam Community Hub along with other social media platforms we will seek feedback and direction from our customers. We will use that information to guide our development path and prioritize features to maximize benefits to our users.”

About This Game

Virtual Presenter Pro is a VR game designed to make you a better public speaker without leaving your home.

You develop your presentation skills by practicing in a variety of environments, where your speech is monitored and assessed, giving you personalized feedback. Choose from three random topics to challenge your ability to think on your feet or recite a pre-written speech. By measuring several distinct metrics, the analysis of your speech will let you know where you excel, and where there’s room for improvement.

Honing your skills and letting you get more comfortable with being the center of attention are the reason this program was built. With settings ranging from a university lecture hall to a corporate board room, you can practice your speech or presentation in an immersive environment where you’re free to make mistakes without judgement.

Key Features:
*In-depth analysis of your speech with 7 different metrics being measured at all times.
*Responsive audience
*Four different environments that recreate places where you’re likely to be giving a speech or presentation in full VR
*… and much more to come

Please note that in order for the program to work properly, your Windows settings must have Windows Dictation Recognizer activated. Without this, your speech cannot be properly analyzed.
