What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“MasterPlan is in early access because while it's completely usable now, there's still some features missing from it. It seems wise to put it into Early Access; that way, while I'm developing and improving upon the program, others can be using it and providing feedback, testing information, and suggestions.”

Approximately how long will this software be in Early Access?

“The product is currently planned to be in Early Access until late 2021.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will most likely feature additions to enhance usability, such as:

  • A map to allow abstraction of a large amount of Tasks.
  • Git integration to allow completion of Tasks through Git as a part of your development workflow.
  • Cross-plan linking.
  • Multi-window support

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“MasterPlan is currently completely usable, and features many nice tools to assist with planning projects and assisting your workflow, including automatically numbered todo lists, progression-based tasks, images, GIF and sound playback, editable maps for planning spaces, whiteboards for planning designs or images, and timers.”

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, as MasterPlan grows even more powerful, the price may rise accordingly.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan on taking community feedback to help design MasterPlan around their usage and prioritize community suggestions, while also listening to bug reports to resolve issues. Users can submit feedback and bug reports on the Steam forums here.”

About This Software

Plan Your Way.

MasterPlan is an idea board and project manager. It has the ability to help streamline the process of planning projects, giving you the ability to create objects like:

  • To-do lists
  • Timers
  • Images, GIFs, and Sounds
  • Deadlines
  • Whiteboards
  • and Maps
... on a freeform grid. You can use MasterPlan your way, whether as a moodboard for art, or as a productivity planner for your next video game. You can tweak how it looks to your liking, with themes and a variety of different visual options. With MasterPlan being freeform, you can space your plan out to your liking, and even spread it across multiple "pages", or Boards. In addition, projects are saved as plain, human-readable JSON files, ensuring compatibility with version control systems like Git or SVN.

The goal of MasterPlan is to make it easy to plan out ideas, and to give you flexibility while doing so.

MasterPlan is currently in early access, and is receiving regular, steady updates that improve the functionality and usability of the program. These updates are lifetime updates and will remain free of charge for those who purchase MasterPlan. The cost of MasterPlan may rise as it becomes more and more feature-complete.
