What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The full game will be made of 9 scenes, while this Part I includes the first 3 scenes.
Based on advice received from Steamworks support team, I have decided that the best solution is to release this Part I as Early Access.
Furthermore, my idea is to reward those who, by buying this Part I release, will help the development of the full game. For this reason I would like to offer them the full game at a discounted price.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The actual plan is to finish the full game by the end of the year, but this deadline cannot be guaranteed at the moment.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will included all the 9 scenes, while the current release only includes the first 3 scenes. Part I shows the main character and his world, the event that kickstarts the adventure and the first actions that the players needs to take in order to advance in the story. It also includes "optional" content for those who are a little curious (e.g. reading books, exploring the village).”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Part I is fully playable and reflects what will be in the first 3 scenes of the full game. It might be that in the future some content of this release will change a little, but the main focus of the development will be on scenes 4 to 9.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The idea is to release the full game at a higher price than this Early Access because it will contain much more content (9 scenes vs 3). My intention is also to reward those who have purchased this Part I by offering the full game at a discounted price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I would appreciate receiving feedback regarding new features to add to the game, as well as improvements on the already published content.”

About This Game

Vigil of Glory is a story-based RPG set in a medieval environment.
You are the son of the Lord of a small village, and live in the comfort of the family Castle with the company of a pet owl and some books.
An unexpected event will convince you to finally leave the nest and take the sword: Glory is calling.
This event will kickstart an adventure that will take you through challenging situations in foreign lands: but not everything will go as planned.

The main focus of the game is on the story, the dialogues, the music and the atmosphere in general. It´s not an RPG with a huge inventory or where the player has to sleep to recover his health or mana, actually there's no mana at all!. While the game follows a precise storyline, you are very welcomed to explore its world (castle, village) and content (books).

This game is a Part 1 of what will be a future complete game. It includes the first 3 scenes (the full game will have 9 scenes in total), and gives an introduction to the characters, the settings and the story. The plan is to release the full game by the end of the year, but this deadline cannot be guaranteed at the moment.
