“We are a very small team.
Since HELLSEED is the first game we develop using S2ENGINE HD, our proprietary engine,
we want to make users giving us their feedback before the releasing of the final product.
In this way we will be able to correct, debug, expand and finally offer a game as the result of all gamers suggestions and will.

If you buy the game now, in Early Access at a reduced price, you'll receive updates for free, and you'll not pay the full price for the final version in the future.

The Early Access version contains the first 2 of 4 chapters.
We have tried to solve as many as bugs possible and offer the best experience possible until now, but we are sure that the final version, with the help of the community, will be even better!”

“Roughly about 1 year after releasing of the Early Access.
We plan to release the Early Access roughly in November 2022.
We believe 1 year is the time required to make the remaining chapters, the refinements and improvements we planned to do.”

“The final version of the game will have:
  • Additional Chapters until the end of the story,
  • Subtitles localization,
  • Better graphics refinements,
  • Engine optimizations and improvements,

  • A lot of bugfixes.

¿Cuál es el estado actual de la versión de Acceso anticipado?

“Currently we have almost completed the first 2 (of 4) chapters of the story that will be included into the Early Access version.

We plans to release the Early Access roughly in November 2022 and then keeping the Early Access for about 1 year in order to produce the final chapters and apply as many as refinements and improvements suggested by community.

When it'll come out, the Early Access will have all the features listed into the About section and the first 2 (of 4) chapters completed.

The final chapters will be omitted from Early Access until the final game releasing because we want players to have an additional reason to play the game when it will be out from the early access stage.

The Early Access period will be used for producing the final chapters of the game and improving existing elements or adding new elements if requested by community, but first of all it will be used for testing and debugging.”

THE GAME DOESN'T WORK AS IT SHOULD? WELL! THIS MEANS IT'S DOING ITS JOB...


Don't worry, This game is specially designed to confuse you :) Take in mind that some parts of the game are radomized, so the same thing could not happens the same time or place it happened the previous gameplay, or it couldn't happen at all!.
In other words, most, expecially in the house, depends by the movements you do and some randomized parameters.
This makes the game a bit unpredictable and sometime it could seems bugged but it isn't!

IF YOU HAVE A RADEON GRAPHICS CARD KEEP DRIVERS UPDATED!

AMD has recently rewritten OpenGL drivers (the old ones were very slow). HELLSEED engine is based on OpenGL and, with new drivers, performances are finally very good.

HELLSEED is a first-person horror adventure with puzzles and some action elements.

SYNOPSIS

Italy 1980,

Some doctors at a psychiatric hospital in the province of Turin report the disappearance of a colleague to the police.
You are the detective investigating what happened.
The first place where you start the investigation is the doctor's house.
While in the house, many strange things will happen, and a dark presence will seem to follow you wherever you go.
What does it want from you?
What is the relationship between it and the doctor?
Is the doctor really missing?
Is he dead?

All these questions and many others you will have to answer to discover the truth and complete the game.
Be careful and don't panic; someone will try to catch you and take you to hell...

FEATURES

  • Realistic graphics
    Thanks to the power of S2ENGINE HD the game performs a photorealistic environment that will completely immerse you in the detective's shoes.
  • Horror atmosphere

    The game is inspired to the atmosphere of classic italian horror cinematography, with a lot of jumpscares and references to Italian culture.
    In some parts of the game the distribution of jumpscares is semi-random and a "possession" system will take over the house and hinder the player...

  • Intriguing story
    As detective you will discover all the secrets of the house and its tenants.
  • Puzzles and investigation
    Using a well-structured inventory, during the game you will be able to collect and examine objects and use them when you need to solve puzzles.
    A clipboard, to be completed during the game, will also help you to understand relationship between characters and the story behind them just like a real detective.

  • Action Gameplay variety
    Dark presences will start to chase you at a certain point in the game, you have to run and hide using what the environment offers to you.

    But this isn't the only gameplay mechanics you will face. The game will offer to you different situations in which you have to use your reflexes in various ways.
  • Configurable game experience
    The game offers a series of options to customize the player experience:

    • Quick times during demon battles can be enable or disable, enabling them the game will be easier because the demon doesn't kill you immediately but you have a second chance to escape from it, but this will result in less scary moments.
    • You can enable or disable Tips. Enabling them the game will explain what is happening and what to do in some situations
    • You can enable or disable stamina and energy indicators. Enabling them will let you to know what are player vital parameter values with precision but the screen will be affected by indicators images breaking the atmosphere
    • You can enable Helps. Enabling them will make the game to help you in many situations like finding a key or an important item. If you want to make all by your own even if this means to spent a lot of time playing the game, you can disable it.
    • In order to help you in finding items, the game allows you to make important items flashing if you want.
    Many other options will be added in future, to maximizing the game experience customization.
