Why Early Access?

“To put it plainly, the game isn't finished yet. There are so many more features and content I want to add. Over the past 2 years of development, the game has taken different forms, going from 1D to 2D movement to exploring around. As the basic elements of the game have now been finalized, it is time to move on to adding more layers of strategy, complexity, and content to the game.

In addition, I am not a perfect developer, I'm actually really far from it. So as each update comes out, there will probably be some crashes or bugs or awful design choices that are made. I fully intend to fix these and create a not only a stable, but fun and exciting experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“This game will probably stay in Early Access till most of the major features have been implemented, which realistically might go until Winter 2022.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is going to include the following features that will be added as the game progresses through Early Access:
- More items
- Mod support
- A Cool Storyline
- Background lore
- Environments
- Weather
- Day/Night
- Police, bounty hunters, invasions”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game has taken on a new form with the recent launch of the Exploration Update and is both playable and fun, however lacks serious replayability and has some design flaws that need to be addressed to provide a better experience.

The game may contain bugs or experience crashes occasionally, which I hope to iron out as Early Access progresses.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Since more features and content will be shipped in the full release, I plan on raising the price to reflect the content and quality of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I rely a lot on community support. I enjoy dialoguing directly with players and listening to what they want to get added into the game.

Community engagement will be primarily through the Discord server. I have polls, and often ask directly what they think about certain concepts or ideas that could be added into the game. There are also factions in Discord with game related challenges to participate in.

With Steam, I intend to do my best to support mods that are easy for anyone in the community to create and use.”
