Hvorfor tidlig tilgang?

«Neighborhood is in a good enough place to start getting some feedback on game play elements. There's also certainly some bugs I haven't noticed so there's that. I'm basically looking to make this game as good as possible.»

Hvor lenge antas det at dette spillet vil være i tidlig tilgang?

«Look, I'm a one person dev team here so any number of hold ups can arise. Having said that, I am looking to build a team relatively soon. My estimate and overall goal to complete Neighborhood is 12-18 months.»

Hvordan er det planlagt at fullversjonen skal være forskjellig fra versjonen i tidlig tilgang?

«The current early access build is a prototype. It shows all of the features of the game and how they work together. It's missing more worlds to travel to and an actual story. I plan to add more characters, stages, story elements, weapons, skills, outfits, you name it.»

Hva er nåværende tilstand for versjonen i tidlig tilgang?

«I'd call this an alpha build at the moment. The game works well enough to (hopefully) completely play through.

Currently, you can play though the entirely of one "world". This means, you have access to 3 areas with an assortment of enemies and bosses as well as various shops. You can also earn Gummy to purchase items and new moves.

There are 6 playable characters and 4 player co-op is currently supported.»

«I do plan to increase the cost as development continues, but I have a set amount in mind that I do not want to cross. I'm aiming for a low price on this at its maximum»

Hvordan planlegger dere å involvere samfunnet i utviklingsprosessen?

«I take every bit of feedback seriously. Any complaint or concern about how something works is something I will listen to. Whether or not I apply it to the game will largely depend on if it makes sense to the intention of my original design or not.

I am also slowly building a highly customizeable moveset for each character and I am very open to request or suggestions for new player skills.»

Over view

Neighborhood is a kid-based suburban action RPG beat-em-up. Team up with up to 3 other players to conquer whatever foe may come at you. Use makeshift weaponry like sticks, croquet mallets, flowers, and water guns to battle it out. Live in a world where money is useless and Gummy is the currency of choice.

Characters

Play as Roy, the star; the sullen Stick Master. Wield his mighty stick Excalibur using a variety of close range and explosive techniques.

Like to stay farther away? Maybe Charlotte is your game. Use her various beams, projectiles, and fields to take control of the area.

Maybe you'd like to take a more supportive role? Try Fatima! She has a great arsenal of skills to heal or boost her allies.

If none of that is your style and you like to hit as hard as possible, check out Laila. She also has some pretty decent range to go along with it.

Combat System

Use multiple skills and techniques to perform unique and open combos. Have a look at the default control scheme:

Item shop

Buy a variety of food or equipment items and equip them to one of four slots. Some items heal you instantly while others can restore your super meter. Equipment effects can vary from boosting your damage output.

Skill shop

Have you met Harry? He can teach you how to play AND he can teach you new skills. Swap out any technique for any other within the same category to customize whatever character you choose to match your own play style.
