Varför Early Access?

“Paralives was built with our community since the very beginning, and we want to keep working with everyone on the next steps of our project. As dedicated life simulation game fans, we created Paralives to bring innovations and a new take on the genre, whether it’s through flexible build tools, a character creator filled with customization, or new and engaging life simulation gameplay mechanics.

Releasing in Early Access will allow people to play with the features and systems we have developed and provide us with crucial feedback to help refine and improve what we have into a truly great and unique experience. Because we are a small team and the breadth and depth of things you can do with a game like Paralives is staggering, we feel like this is the best option for us.”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“About two years, considering all the features and content we want to add before we can say that we’ve hit version 1.0. We’ll also surely have to work on many other improvements and changes along the way. In short, this timeframe estimate seems reasonable to us right now, but it’s always subject to change!”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“The full version will have more features than what we currently have (see our Early Access announcement post for more info: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1118520/view/520841474254834418) such as pets, houseboats and a town creation tool, more content in each of the game’s modules (more items for the build mode, more clothes, personality traits and other options for character creation and more content for our simulation systems like together cards, interactions, skills, etc.)”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“There is quite a bit to do currently in the game. You can build and decorate a house with various customization options, a color wheel, resizable furniture, among other things. You can create a diverse cast of characters using our creation tools and extensive clothing catalogue, and then make them live their lives in our open world town where they’ll find a job, nurture relationships, improve skills, and more!

Some bugs will be present, some features might not be balanced, and some content might be missing here and there, due to the nature of the early access release.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“The game is sold at a discount during the Early Access period, and the price will go up gradually during Early Access as we add more content, up until its full release. However, we have pledged to never release paid DLCs, and there will only ever be free updates!”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“No matter where you can reach us - through the Steam forums, by email or through our Discord channels - we will be listening to feedback, suggestions, comments and bug reports with the utmost attentiveness, just like we have done with our current development, as they are the lifeblood that will sustain our Early Access evolution into a game everyone can enjoy. On our end, we will be transparent about what we are working on, the issues we’re currently tackling, and continue giving the community an evolving roadmap of our progress so you can track how things are going on their end as well.”
