“Primal Reign: The Age of New Kings is an ambitious VR title, and we want to build it transparently with the community rather than behind closed doors. Early Access lets us put a playable slice of the game into players’ hands, gather real-world feedback (comfort, performance, weapon feel, pacing, difficulty, readability in-headset), and use that to guide the rest of development.

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“We plan to remain in Early Access until the game’s core systems are feature-complete, well-balanced, and stable across a wide range of PC VR setups, and until the content offering represents a satisfying “season” of the full experience.

We don’t want to lock ourselves into a date—VR development is highly iterative, and we prefer to commit to quality and clarity rather than timelines.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“Over time, we plan to expand Primal Reign with additional story content, locations, encounters, weapons/tools, enemy types, and progression—alongside continued improvements to AI, interaction depth, comfort/accessibility options, and performance optimisation.

We would also really like to address the voice overs and give them epic voices from some of our selected real world voice talent, the level of immersion from a story telling aspect would elevate the whole experience.

We also want to significantly raise the presentation bar as production grows. Our ambition is to bring the full version to life with full performance capture (including mo-cap) and dedicated voice talent, plus more cinematic storytelling and bespoke set-piece moments where it makes sense.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“Early Access currently delivers a playable, stable portion of the game that includes the core VR interaction and combat loop, the foundations of progression and pacing, and an Early Access segment that is longer than the demo. This is the “real game” in an earlier form—not a concept or prototype—and it will continue to expand and improve over time.

As we iterate, you should expect regular balancing and polish passes, ongoing optimisation, and periodic content updates. Minimum and recommended specifications may change as the project evolves.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“We plan to gradually increase the price as major content and feature milestones are added. Players who purchase during Early Access will not be charged extra for updates released as part of that Early Access journey.”

“We will actively use Steam Discussions, bug reports, and player feedback to prioritise fixes and improvements—especially around comfort, controls, weapon feel, performance, difficulty, and progression. We’ll share update notes and development intentions as clearly as possible so players can see what’s changing and why.
