Why Early Access?

“I believe that a roguelike is only as good as the amount of variety it provides. This leaves plenty of room to release a good game to early access, and make it a great game over time.

I have lots of ideas for how to continue development, but I want to begin incorporating player feedback so that I can make the game as good as it can be. Early access is a great way to do that.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The base game has taken a year to make. I'll keep adding things until I can't think of more to add, but my goal is to leave early access after one more year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“There are three categories that I plan to work on:

1. Expansion of Existing Content

• More Enemies
• More Powerups
• More Arena Layouts
• More Levels
• More and Clearer Visuals and Animations

2. New Core Game Mechanics

• Permanent Progression System
• More Game Modes

3. Additional Steam Features

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“There is a lot of content in the current version. There are over 100 powerups, 8 enemy types, and 30 arena layouts. Some of it is rough around the edges, so I'll be looking for feedback on improving it.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to increase the price when the game comes out of early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I believe that the core game I've built has tons of room for expansion, and I want the community to be a big part of that expansion. I will be fostering active discussions on the Steam forums about things to change, add, or remove. I'm excited to see what people come up with!”
