What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Most of the assets of the game are complete, and the game is set to launch in this specific state as close to the date of Island Entertainment Expo (March 30) as possible. Any purchases made at this time should be made with the understanding that this game is still a work in progress, albeit a nearly complete one, with assets updated as they are created and implemented. In no way should one feel compelled to purchase this based on its 'potential'.

We will make a point of it to deal with any issues in development as soon as possible.

Unconditionally, we plan to develop on the game to the best of our ability, with a view to keeping updated contact with users and prioritizing a fun and complete experience. This should keep people interested in the continued progress of the game in the months to come.

We have a plan made to further development, and that plan is already in motion regardless of any outcomes during this period.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The estimation is that the game will be asset-complete and fully featured by the end of September, 2019. There will be weekly, detailed progress updates along with an updated main website by the end of March.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to have four acts instead of merely two (19 chapters instead of 13). We also plan to develop alternate modes of play (score attack, time attack, single-stage plays, boss rush, arcade mode, possibly special stages.)”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access build will have two acts completed, consisting of 13 of the game's 19 chapters. Alternate modes, including an attract mode, are available in a 'work in progress' state.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game's price will not change at the end of the early access period. The cost set at the early access launch will be the highest price that it retails at.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Regular social media and website updates will be relayed to the community as development continues, with details on characters, bosses, and stages. We will have weekly updates on new content via twitter, mastodon, facebook and youtube, in the form of messages, images, developer playthrough videos and context on our decisions, and we will seek out feedback in any and all of its forms, to vet it and act on it to the best of our ability.”

About This Game

In the year 2299 of the Galactic Standard Calendar, a host of invasive species descends on the colony planet Hera. You are Séraphine Letourneau, a test pilot for a major research and development company forced to join the fight after they invade during a routine test of an experimental flight suit. Challenge the enemy on the ground or in the air, gradually earning weapons, upgrades and defensive tools in the effort to save the planet in a top-down shooter/adventure hybrid inspired by games like The Guardian Legend, Zelda: A Link to the Past and Fester's Quest.

Séraphine can strafe, dodge, equip three special weapons simultaneously, and survive otherwise fatal hits as long as she has at least 1 point of shield strength on her microjet.

Equipment Types:

Weapons- Special weapons with limited ammo.
Crisis Triggers- Special tools that trigger effects once you're one hit from defeat (where your shield gauge is zero)
Dodge Tools- Special tools that add a property to your dodge.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Language is moderately frequent in the game, but able to be turned off.

References to drugs and alcohol are isolated, and neither are used in-game.

Implied horror is also isolated, and conditional.

In all cases there are plans to allow for a turn-off filter, pending feedback.

System Requirements

    Minimum:
    • OS: 7
    • Memory: 1024 MB RAM
    • Storage: 256 MB available space
