Why Early Access?

“Free Company VR has reached a point in development where it is ready to be sold. However, ensuring the quality of the game before release is extremely important to me. Early Access will allow me to gather valuable player feedback and make the appropriate changes / additions before the full release.”

“Approximately 3-6 months.”

“Heavily adjusted gameplay systems based on feedback, more maps, weapon balances, performance optimizations to allow more units in battles, and workshop support.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core gameplay systems, while subject to change, are complete. There are currently 33 weapons, 9 maps, 3 factions, and 6 gamemodes. The game is in a fairly optimized optimized state and can support 100+ units in a battle.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“There are no plans to change the price after Early Access.”

Epic Battles

Engage in intense 100 man physics-based battles. Survive enemy ambushes in your travels. Participate in frantic arena battles. Choose from a variety of contracts to earn resources to expand your mercenary army.

Custom Scenarios

Create, download, and share your custom sandbox scenarios with the Steam Workshop.

Full Freedom

Build your army from the ground up. Every soldier you lead is hand picked and personalized by you. Purchase them equipment, train them, set their skills. The composition of your army is completely up to you.

Advanced AI

Troops in Free Company VR are not mindless drones. They will hold vantage points, surround the enemy, and alert others of threats.
