What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Knowing what players love is critical to delivering the best product. By measuring the feedback that we receive from our early players, we will be able to focus on the right improvements to make to the world of Bloodstream.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We anticipate the game to be in Early Access until Q3 2019.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The feature set of the Full Version will change over time as we process player reactions.

Our dream game includes additional mechanics such as:
  • Chi-based charged slash mechanic for sword
  • Raising your hand to be struck by lightning
  • Norse god thrown hammer that penetrates through earth
  • More immersive physics and time effects
  • Complex levels
  • Complex opponents

The Full Version will enjoy more polish, bug fixes and performance improvements.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“This is a fully functioning game with tutorial missions, an unfolding skill path, many exciting levels and a grand finale.

Game play consists of waves of opponents challenging the player in groups of increasing difficulty. As the player progresses they learn more advanced combat techniques and unlock harder opponents. Initially combat is quite easy but it becomes technical - and difficult.

The current mechanics are:
  • Players use smooth motions to gain access to powerful attacks
  • Players can summon energy into their hands and gracefully weave it towards enemies
  • Enemies get injured/killed when struck by enemy powers
  • Players can summon different energies by drawing power from different energetic sources on their body
  • Energetic spells home in on enemies
  • Players can create energy streams with their hands and use them to block incoming attacks
  • Players can whack nearby melee opponents with energized hands
  • There are four elements. Some enemies have elemental armour and elemental attacks. These must be countered with the correct element.
  • There are many opponents, with different combat styles and attack sequences
  • The player is able to fight efficiently through understanding enemy attack sequences and vulnerabilities
  • There is an in-game tutorial system
  • The user can start at checkpoints once they have unlocked them

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We anticipate pricing to rise as we add more value to the game. Ultimately, non-AAA VR games sell from 2 to 4 times more than the current price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will gather feedback from the Steam Community and our "in real life" early test players. This feedback will help shape our game design decisions and priorities moving forward. We will monitor Steam Discussions to understand how the player-base feels.

We believe that the best ideas come from the players. We look forward to hearing the voice of the Steam Community - and building a great game together.”

About This Game

Unique VR mechanics that help you fight IN STYLE

“Just like being a real magic ninja magician”

A master uses a single sweeping energy Stream to block and whack, then hurl at the enemy. Doing this smoothly gains Chi. Jerky hands lose Chi. Chi is used to unleash deadly power attacks. When this happens, time slows down, just in time to block enemy shots. Smoothly. ...to gain more Chi.

Unique VR Powers

  • Smash giant stone fists pulled from the ground.
  • Crash meteors clutched from the heavens.
  • Slash energy quakes.
  • Whirl flaming fire tornadoes.
  • Unleash power attacks with smooth hand motions.
  • Choose elements with controller placement. Drawing a stream from above your head draws Air.
  • Move your stream of flowing energy to intercept incoming fire, then throw it.
  • Draw twin flame katanas from behind your neck.

Video Casting

Record yourself playing with support for LIV mixed-reality recordings. Show off and compete for the adoration of your friends!

CHAOS.

Block a dozen shots. Smash a dozen foes. Blood is everywhere. Unleash a power attack then - look out! - block just in time. You gotta do it all at once and if you don’t got smooth moves you’re gonna die. It's just like being a real magic ninja magician!
