“Early Access allows players to play the game one chapter at a time, revealing the story in an episodic manner while we finish subsequent chapters of the game. This also allows us to tweak gameplay based on player feedback before the full game is released.”

“About 1.5 years as we work through releasing all the chapters.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The initial release will be feature complete for Chapter 1, and include the first 6 classes, story elements, and all necessary game elements. As we release new chapters they will include all necessary characters and game elements for play through of those chapters.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“This first Early Access release includes:

• Nearly all major gameplay systems for world map, combat, load/save game, options, player hub, and the first 7 missions that make up Chapter 1 with all the story cutscenes and initial dialog.
  
• The first 6 jobs: Mercenary, Physician, Guardian, Elementalist, Archer, and Sage. Players can play through level 8 in each job to gain various abilities.
  
• Missions are fully implemented with turn-based combat, harmony songbook system, different objectives, story characters, enemy AI, and turn order sequencing.
  
• The player hub allows players to recruit new units, purchase items, mix and match jobs, and customize units.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, early access players will get the entire game for the Early Access price, getting one chapter at a time as they are finished. We plan to raise the price as we ship new content and chapters.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are looking for feedback from players as we roll out new chapters. We will be posting updates to the Steam forums with progression, new assets, and feature breakdowns before they come on line in the game.”
