What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The game is not completed yet. It would be nice to get the Steam community involved as the game is developed further. In the near future (within a month of release of the demo), the graphics are to be updated. Following will be the addition of a strategy layer with a corresponding array of mission types featuring primary and secondary objectives, and ai clans for the player to interact with by diplomacy, covertly, or by force. Original assets will next be introduced. Afterwards, your agents will be assigned different classes and given class-specific gear. With time said agents will be completely customisable, and the enemies will be further differentiated with ai that responds to the behaviour and progress of the player. Each of the features just mentioned will be constantly improved with more and better mechanics as the development process continues. The last step will be extreme testing to ensure that all features in the game work together well, and to consider further feedback from customers for implementation before final release”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Three to four years”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is a short demo featuring a single procedurally generated level. The full version intended for the game is to feature an interdependent strategy layer, original assets, better more realistic graphics, customisable agents and gear, better enemy ai, more varied missions, and original soundtrack and voice-work”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“A short rough demo featuring a single procedurally generated levels and a single mission objective”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. All customers will only need to make a single purchase including during early-access. That is, the final game will cost about half more than the early access build, but anyone who purchased the game in early access automatically gets the final product without further payment. There should be no incremental changes between early access and final release”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Any feedback is welcome, the developer will be regularly looking at reviews of the game to guide its further development. Alternatively, customers and others can send an email to bicksbury@gmail.com detailing their thoughts on the current build and wishes for the final product”

About This Game

In this short demo, your agents are set loose on a procedurally generated level to eliminate a band of enemy soldiers by clandestine means such as setting traps. More features are to follow should the demo generate enough support. These include: class-specific gear for agents, the ability to assign upgradeable skills to your agents, the replacement of placeholders by original art, a separate interdependent strategy layer to contextualise missions, missions with different primary and secondary objectives, greater distinctions between enemy units, and original scores and voice work

The final product is intended as a tactical real-time-strategy game set in a period similar to the reign and decline of the Roman Empire. You will be able to guide your clan through a series of insurgent acts to gain the support of other clans in a bid to amass a coalition great enough to rid your lands of the great empire that now occupies them. With the aid of your clan's finest assassins you will be required to conduct a series of varied missions, the success of which would enable you to obtain new equipment, and skills with which to outfit your agents, whose attributes could also be improved, in preparation for the final showdown to decide the fate of your clan, and entire nations
