What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Fused is being created by one person so some areas need to be covered by other professionals. Early Access will help fund these talent individuals to help build the game to its final full release stage. All profits will be put towards this game and making sure it's development runs smoothly.

So a big thank you goes out to all who will / has purchased the game in early access as this will help development of the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The aim is to have the game completed and released as full by mid February 2019. If funds are more than required, a delay till March may happen as this will help build the game to be much bigger than previous design and possibly introduce full VR mode.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Fused will contain a few more levels with more puzzles and traps to overcome. As you progress through the levels, there will be more puzzles to overcome. The aim will be to introduce different styles of puzzles on each level, but making sure the puzzles increase with difficulty.

New audio will be added to increase the games atmosphere, such as sound effects and music. An album of the score will be coming soon after release on Steam.

The game's main story will become clear, as pick-up files will show reports on what has caused the problem to the system, also detailing more information on what the skystar system is and why NF01 was brought online.

The size of the game will not be massive as its main focus is to be a simple fun puzzle game for any person to play.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version is playable, containing an animated main menu - loading new game sequence, a training level and 3 puzzle levels. Control support for xbox controller is also available, however control setup options (ie, sensitivity) are currently under development along with further levels, puzzles and information relating to the story behind the character and its world.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“During Early Access, the game will be priced lower than the full version and will stay at stated price until the game leaves Early Access, in which it will increase to full release price. The current set price will help bring in funds to develop the game further as full price funds will go towards future projects which are currently in pre-production.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The development of Fused is currently being shown on live streams on Twitch, under the stream Ironsmith_Studios. Updates on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) is frequent along with a channel setup for the studio on Discord. Please look for Ironsmith Studios on these sites and follow for up to date information.”

Small update!

Hi guys

I have just uploaded a small update to help with the controls. Now you won't be able to pause the game during the opening sequence of the game. This is to help prevent issues that seem to crop up when the game is paused in an animation sequence at the beginning.

I have also placed a note in the opening of the training room as a friendly reminder that I am still working on the issue where the game starts and you need to hold the mouse button down to turn. This issue is bugging me also as I can't seem to narrow down where the problem is. For now a short fix is to just pause the game and then resume. This seems to fix it.

Over the past 2 weeks I have been working hard on getting the next level created. I am 2/3 of the way through, but making a puzzle is no easy task, its a puzzle in making it alone! I hope to role out this new level within the first week of February 2019.

I have also been working on the pre-production for the spin-off game to Fused, Skystar Worlds. For more information, checkout the website or better, join us on the growing Discord server and recieve upto date information on Fused, Skystar Worlds and other topics. You can join HERE!

Thank you for all your support, remember to grab Fused whilst its in early access to get the discounted price, and don't forget to leave a comment feedback on the store page, as this really will help!

Mouse controls issue update

Hi all

I am aware that during the start of gameplay, the mouse doesn't turn the character unless you hold down the mouse button. This issue is being looked into at the moment as its something to do with the controls and widget setup (widget is unreals HUD tool)

There is a temporary fix however, as soon as the level starts, press P or ESC to pause the game and simply select resume play, this will allow the mouse to freemove without the need of the mouse button.

Please report any more issues as all feedback helps with making the gameplay better.

Thank you for your support!

About This Game

You take control of the lonely Nanobyte, NF01, who has been released within the Skystar System grid after a cascade of failures due to a serious shock causing the systems fuses to explode. Your mission is to fix all the broken fuses by using three different abilities and return the power back to the Skystar System.

Fused is a first-person science fiction platformer puzzle game, that is set inside a computer system which is styled in the classic 1980s sci-fi cyber world with a modern twist. Made within Unreal 4 engine, Fused is a linear pathed, interactive game that contains puzzle elements which helps you reactivate the levels to progress further. By picking up fragmented files, you are able to piece together who is behind the attack and what the systems main function is all about.
