World War 2 never ends, fought across new virtual battlefields update after update, game after game, year after year. It's raging afresh in Company of Heroes 2 thanks to a new update, which adds two new maps and Steam Workshop support for player-made maps, and another DLC map pack.
Next week is turning out to be a pretty eventful one for Company of Heroes 2. Not only is it getting a map editor alongside the Turning Point update, but it will also add the "Victory at Stalingrad" downloadable content. It's set to go up right alongside Turning Point, for $9.99.
A steady supply of new maps can help keep a multiplayer community alive, so Relic is delivering two to Company of Heroes 2 next week. Even better than more official maps is a map editor so players can make their own, and oooh, one of those is coming too in the 'Turning Point' update.
Company of Heroes 2 is getting two free multiplayer maps today, titled Rostov and Khakov. Rostov is a six-player map based on the World War 2 battle that took place there, and Khakov is a four-player map set in the Ukrainian city that fielded many battles of its own.
