Contagion is still on sale for 50% off for a couple more days for the Steam Holiday Sale. Due to the sales we received a number of users excited to purchase games as quickly as possible to avoid forgetting later and this led to some neglecting to read the System Requirements where XP was not supported.

We already put out a large patch before Xmas and had no plans to avoid works the rest of the year through the holidays so we put XP Support on our priority list and are very happy to announce Contagion now runs on Windows XP. We will continue to optimize and improve performance of the game hopefully leading to supporting lower minimum system requirements (will be adding XP to it soon as my kid stop's screaming into my ear).

For those curious about Linux and Mac I can only say that we've made progress and are taking it just as seriously and will release as soon as possible. Like XP there is no ETA on when they will release but we hope that the above efforts show we do commit to our community and pull through even with turkey, ham, kids, trees, Xmas shopping, etc gets int he way haha.

As many of you already know Steam is holding their Annual Holiday Sale and again Contagion is partaking in this sale to get our game into the hands of as many interested gamers as possible. Many believe this is a grab for profit but as we are in Early Access (Early Beta) it has proven vital in obtaining the information we need to release a build that is significantly more stable and at optimal performance as well as our ability to fund projects to expedite our Linux and Mac builds and new content without stretching ourselves too thin.

With this latest update we not only improved hit detection, melee mechanics, and more but also included a Holiday make over to celebrate this fantastic year! We've been out for nearly 3 months now and are currently participating in the Steam Holiday Sale with fans showing a surprisingly amount of praise which we will continue (if all goes well yet another update before years end) strive for.

Contagion is a labor of love one where all members invested time and money never knowing what the future had in store. With this update we again show that we are dedicated to improving the game and we're pushing to release more content more and more often (as well as the free DLC included later next year).
