Why Early Access?

“Tranquility Base Mining Colony: The Moon - Explorer Version, is a Lunar Exploration Simulator. It is the Early Access version to our Tranquility Base Mining Colony: The Moon - Achiever Version, which is due to be released in 2021.
We've been working on the ACHIEVER version for three years now, and decided that since we've had so much fun running around the Moon for the last three years, that we'd share this experience with those fellow space-geeks who'd like to geek out, like us, and explore the Moon from this unique point of view that very few have ever experienced.
We also believe that it's a good idea to share and be open to feedback and collaboration before the release of the full-fledged ACHIEVER version.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The Tranquility Base Mining Colony: The Moon EXPLORER version will be available until at least July, 2021 or when the ACHIEVER version is released.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“This EXPLORER version is comprised of the unique play area, as described, as well as the Tranquility Base Lunar Reserve Visitor Center, which is the gateway to the Apollo 11 Landing Site.

The ACHIEVER version includes this unique play area along with the following:

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“This EXPLORER version consists of the unique play area along with the Starter Arena, the Tranquility Base Lunar Reserve Visitor Center and 1 character with jet-pack.

Explore the Moon and collect gold coins of varying values.

This play area is massive, consisting of about 17,000 sq kilometers of lunar terrain that was rendered using NASA data to create a realistic lunar experience for our players.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The prices between the EXPLORER version and the ACHIEVER version will be different.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The Community is our market, or at least the focus group to our future market. Therefore, we will be very open to feedback and collaboration to ensure our success.”
