I hate this game, yet I've bought it three times and maxed out the playtime clock at least five times over. Send help.

Sonic Adventure is amazing. Despite it’s awkward animations, it’s cheesy quotes and Big the Cat’s irritating fishing gameplay, Sonic Adventure changed Sonic dramatically by shifting from 2D gameplay to 3D gameplay and changed it greatly. The game's story is quite awesome. The recurring water monster named Chaos who can change forms each time he’s given a chaos emerald is an awesome beast to fight against and a real menace when Chaos turns into Perfect Chaos by getting all of the chaos emeralds. Sonic Adventure has a lot of variety of content when playing as six different characters with their own gameplay style, playing the addictive simulator mode called Chao Garden and let’s not forget about the extra things like missions, getting an A rank in every stage and trying to get all of the emblems. If you’re a huge Sonic fan that hasn’t played this yet, it’s highly recommended to play this

Extremely glitchy, bad facial animations, horrible controls, awful dialogue.

Result? = Cult Classic (for Sonic fans at least)

Wanted to give it another try because of having a proper Xbox 360 controller now. I didn't like the clunky controls, movement or how the camera works so I uninstalled.

The game itself might not be bad on other systems, but I would not play it on PC.

When I was young, I remember one day I was playing with my lego, my dad came home with a gift for me. It was a disc version of Sonic Adventure DX. I had only played Sonic The Hedgehog on my Sega Mega Drive. I was so excited to play this I immediately installed it on our family computer. I had many fun hours playing this game. But on one cold raining day, I woke up ready to play some more, for I was almost finshed. But as I walked into the office, I saw the disc smashed to pieces on the floor. I ran to my dad in tears. We never found out how it broke. For many weeks I would cry myself to sleep. My dad tryed to find anothe copy. But ever time he went to the shops, it would end in failure. Many years passed and I now play other games to hide my sadness. But as I'm browsing the steam store, I see a game called "Sonic Adventure DX" It was like Jesus himself kissed me on the face. I then bought the game and my childhood was brought back from the dead. This game was my childhood and when it broke, it took my childhood. I feel like a happy little boy again.

So I originally got this game when I was 3 or 4 for the SEGA Dreamcast, and I played the ♥♥♥♥ out of it for years, probably beat the game at least 30 times and loved every second of it, even Big The Cat. There is a fun variety of gameplay from each character and each story is unique, and its cool how they all interlock. Gamma's and Sonic's stories are the best in my opinion. Also, the soundtrack is AMAZING as you would expect from a sonic game. Fully recomended.

a worthy nostolgia buy. SAdx was always a buggy game so if you can look past the quiky controls and general awkwardness of this era of 3d gaming its a fun game.

I'm not going to get into depth with this one seeing as literally everybody knows what this game is about so I'll just say this: hilarious Facial Expressions fantastic Action Stages and hilarious Voice Acting make this a Classic. Oh and it looks a million times better with BetterSADX.

Great sonic game however this port is pretty rough around the edges. If you have any controllers connectedat all it assumesyou want to use them and won't take no for an answer. This renders it unplayable for me.

One of the best Sonic games I've ever played . It's a pity that Sega can't (or doesn't want to) make games like this (or Sonic Adventure 2) anymore.

This PC version is crap, though. You can't even play at full screen in current PCs. Fortunately, the steam comunity made what Sega should have made long time ago: a patch to solve those graphics problems. Shame on Sega.
