Why Early Access?

“Because more player feedback is needed to speed up development as its completely different when you can share ideas and see immediate impressions with not matter how small, but active community around your project when opposed to closed "inhouse" development. Game is allready playable, mostly without crashes and have enough content to entertain for several hours.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Hard to answer, but my initial aim is to spend another six month in EA before full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Full version will have much more content. By content i mean more mission types, more items, vehicles and most important feature will be the story and endgame missions. For example, here is plan for the first month and half after EA release to give you idea:
  • Intercept mission type
  • Additinal Marauder and Attack Vehicle
  • Support vehicle class
  • "Named" epic and legendary items, some even with special abilities.
  • Further enhancement of Patrol missions to be more "dungeon-like" experience.
  • Main base overhaul - more animations, more NPCs and interactions with them.
  • Additional base events.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Game is playable, but with no story except for intro and post-tutorial scene. Its more like endless looter game only right now, spiced up with few base events and dungeon-like Patrol missions. A lot of assets(especialy sounds) are still placeholders, but the game grows steadily and its improved piece by piece with each update. Right now the game reached the stage where i can afford to spend more time on content creation and all the other stuff that can please eye, instead of focusing on boring technical stuff nobody ll ever notice unless the game crashes.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes the price will be increased by about 50% once the Early Access stage ll be finished.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I ve spent almost year of development working on the game "core" to be open to new ideas as i did not wanted to repeat scenario from my previous game, where community came with lot of cool ideas and i was just not able to implement them without rewriting half of the game code. I belive extra time spent on the game internals to be "new ideas & stuff" friendly will pay off in near future as the limits of what can be done are now much farther than in case of my previous games.”

Early Access starts right now!

Hello Everyone! Blasted Road Terror reached great milestone today, the start of Early Access phase! After year and half long development it was about time for BRT to leave my living room and present it self to the public.
I wish the release was more glorious, packed with many more features and content, however thats what early access games are, probe in to the minds of players to help pick the right direction, learn whats important and whats not, investigate what audience likes most about your game and expand it.
The game still have about 6 months of development time ahead it self, no matter what. In following half of the year i would like to double the ammount of almost everything whats in the game currently. Be it vehicles, items, enemy types or mission types and some additional content as well.

What you can expect?

Blasted Road Terror is meant to be tacitcal looter inspired by Mad Max movies and some of my favourite games. Game currently offers about 10 hours of gameplay till you explore all of its secrets. Currently game lacks heavily in sound department and some of the ingame graphics(especialy UI) is still not final.
However game is perfectly playable as it is, you can run missions, patrols(dungeon like adventures), upgrade your base, level up vehicles, upgrade your Main Command Vehicle(MCV) through its talent tree, and most importantly loot and equip items.

Unfortunately not everything is as polised as i would love to and dont expect too much, game just entered beta stage and there is a lot of weekspots that ll be improved one after another. Instead treat purchase of BRT like gesture of support of the project.

Future Plans

First week after EA release(which will be dedicated to fixing any issues you might run in to during first days), works on first content update will begin and you can expect it on week 3 after the ea release. It will bring Ghoul Hunters faction(you can grind reputation allready), buzzsaw weapons, 3rd marauder, 3rd attack vehicle and if everything will go well - Intercept missions and some extra weapons.

Next update will be about improving base UI and base in general. I want your base to be living environment with npcs running around(some even with offer of special missions or quests), events going on and make upgrades more apparent. In addition first "handcrafted" legendary quality items will be introduced as well.

What will happen next? Hard to tell right now as im going to react on your demands and suggestions as flexible as the game core will allow so its hard to make guess, but in the end, i want to turn this game in to endless looter with lot of decisions, choices and customization. You can expect new MCVs, rare vehicles or "named" legendary items, further upgrades of your vehicles (GT version conversions), special heroes to hire once you reach exalted reputation with Sheriff and many more.

"Vengeful Strikers" - EA around corner

Hello Everyone! I know, its been almost month since last update, but i asure you its been spent mostly by hard work on the game. A lot of development time went in to the boring technical stuff but there was time for some notable improvements as well. I wont list all the changes, but the most notable improvements are:

  • Added squad names.
  • Assigned sounds to lot of interace actions.
  • Boomsticker weapon added.
  • Ghoul Hunt missions and Runner ghouls added(ll become rare once game hits EA).
  • Added map mission markers.
  • Heroes now have weapon telegraphs exatly like other vehicles.
  • Main vehicle level cap set to lvl 16
  • Exp gain is now scaling with mission difficulty.
  • Your drivers now tells you what they think if somethik is not quite right.
  • Lot of interface improvements.
  • Pause screen added.
  • All known bugs fixed. (grammar mistakes still in place, sorry)


Some of the squad compositions can now be expressed by simple names. Not all combinations have a name, but there is currently 81 possible compositions that have its special name. Getting the game does not give you any special bonuses or advantage and its purely cosmetic. More first and surenames will be added later.

How does it work? First name is dependat on your weapon loadout, for example having 2 explosive weapons, one piercing and one kinetic weapon will ressult in first name "VENGEFUL".
Surename is based on your vehicle classes assigne in party. Example: 2 interceptors, one marauder and attack vhicle will ressult in "STRIKERS" name.

There is a lot of combinations to discover, can you catch them all?(would you like achivement for that?;-))


Its around corner, it really is, right now i called stop state on new features and content and following two weeks will be dedicated for polishing and bug fixing. Only addition will be intro and post tutorial scene explaining a bit why you are, where you are. Wish me luck and if everything will go as planned BRT will hit early access on 6.10.2017

About This Game

Right now, game is perfectly playable and offers solid gameplay experience with content worth about 10 hours of intense gameplay. However a lot of assests (especialy sounds) are still temporary and will be improved over the time. Additional content will be supplied on weekly basis, be it new items, vehicles, mission modes. Storyline wont be abviable during early acess stage and will be implemented upon game full release.

You will collect mighty arctifacts during your journey, enlarge your vehicle fleet, rebuild your home base, make new friends and discover terrible enemies.

What to expect?

  • Small scale rts like tactical combat.
  • 5 - 10 minutes long missions or 30 minutes long adventures (Patrols) - the choice is yours.
  • 5 mission types, each with unique needs for group composition and tactics.
  • Interceptor/Marauder/Attack vehicle - classes. All with its specific traits and passive abilites.
  • Tons of weapons and accessories, all with its purpose and specific way to use.
  • NPC factions to gain reputations with and obtain unique rewards.
  • Permanent main vehicle and base upgrades.
  • 3 environments to explore - Wasteland/Highland/Tundra - all with its unique set of enemies.
  • Working Day/Night cycle with weather system to enrich your visual experience.


Dont expect fast action, Blasted Road Terror is about tactical decisions and wise usage of limited resources. You have to consider group compositon and weapon distribution as each environment have different enemies which require different approach. Are you going to face enemies with strong armor? You are going to need flamers as they ignore enemy armor. Are you heading straight in to Riders teritory who are know to use a lot of bikers with high dodge chance? You better bring tesla weapon or two as they ignore enemy dodge. Are you going to run Patrol mission? You will probably need to rearm completely as you ll need to free up space in your main vehicle for extra consumables like vehicle spare parts, extra fuel to intercept bonus objectives or supply of purified water to refresh your warriors during mission.

All your vehicles gain experience and gets stronger with each mission they survive, if you lose your vehicle, its lost forever along with its equipment. But dont worry replacement is allready waiting in vehicle workshop if you can afford it. Lacking screws? You can hire one or two wasteland heroes for a day and run easy missions till you will be able to rebuild your favourite squad again.

Your main vehicle is the pumping heart of your squadron. In the begining its just a little more than armored brick but with each upgrade, you can shape to suit your needs. Do you want it to fill support role? No problem, equip it with additional ammo boxes for more carrying capacity, add spikes and giant buzzsaw crane to boost damage of all your vehicles. Attack role? Fit machine guns, explosive spearthrowers and dreaded missile launcher. Want it to tank for your your party? No problem, we ve got armor plates too!;-)
