Difficulty settings

Hi folks! Some users had questions about difficulty and the cheat menu, and here are some answers.

We did include the ability for players to tune game difficulty and over- or underpower their characters. This was a conscious choice because some players are more interested in the story than the combat, and others enjoy the ability to replay the game with altered attributes. In version 1.1, we've made the cheat menus a little clearer so players know they're essentially going "off default" when they alter the numbers.

In the menus, items referring to learned skills, class, and statMod are cheats. It's best not to change these settings unless you want to alter the basic game.

The "coeff" menu option refers to the difficulty level of the game. It lets you choose difficulty between 70 and 130% of normal.

For example, an enemy with 10 hit points will have 13 hit points with the coefficient at 130%. This same 30% boost would also affect the NPCs mana, damage, defense, and other attributes.

The same enemy would have 7 hit points (and other attributes) with the coefficient at 70%.

There are many options to adjust difficulty. Here are some basic difficulty builds:

No combat:
In the system menu there is an option to disable combat.

OTK combat:
Learn Armageddon or Ultimate Force and use it to instantly win the combat.

Easy fights:
Just lower the difficulty coefficient a little (90%).
If you lose a fight you can retry (you will be fully healed).

Normal fights:
Don't retry when you lose.

Really hard fights:
Just increase the difficulty coefficient a little (110%).
Don't retry when you lose.
