What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“This is a preview of our full experience.
The plan is to add more modules or domes with different musical and audio integration. We want Polydome to be the best place to play with all aspects of interactive audio. We will try to build in all different aspects of audio creation, from remixing to recording. But this should not be thought of as a new kind of DAW (like Cubase, Pro Tools etc), more than a place to enjoy both audio and music but set in a VR context that cannot be experienced anywhere else. Please feel free to comment and give us feedback or feature requests.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Until fall 2016”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Many more modules and interaction modes.
This first dome, is a musical "connecting the dots" thing, where we wanted to explore the spatial and roomscale functionality while creating audio. Finding the balance between creating audio, and just exploring for fun. Next dome will probably be about recording audio using the mic of the HMD, any input or suggestions there would be great.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Teaser of the full experience.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Possibly”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Yes, please send us your thoughts!”

First update is LIVE!

Hi all.

I know it has been very quiet, but today we are happy to announce the first update to Polydome!

There are now 2 modules: Gems and Wavecraft.
Gems:
- You can now choose the gem type that you want to create by tapping the touchbutton left or right.
- You can now create multiple patterns side by side.
- You can change the gems in a pattern by "holding" it and tap the touchbutton left or right.

Wavecraft:
- A new module where you create sculptures / buildings with your voice.
- Aim at the floor, where you want to create the building, pull the trigger and hold while talking/singing or what ever and a sculpture will form.
- You can scrub the recording by pointing on the sculpture.
- By pulling the trigger while pointing on the building you will toggle loopmode.
- Teleport around by pressing the touch button.

Have fun!

Best

About This Game

Step into the Polydome.

PolyDome is a musical environment that changes and progresses when you interact with it. Think of it as a sequencer, but rather than being a tool for creating music, it's a place where you can explore and create different musical phrases and sounds. The point of PolyDome is not to win, loose or compete, but simply to relax and enjoy.
