I love this game!
Is it buggy as heck? Yes (but theres a fan made mod called "overwatch" that easily solves it).... plus the less DLC you buy the less buggy it is

Is there long load times? Yes, if you are like me and "gotta catch them all" DLC... again, this can be fixxed with overwatch or having a better computer (with all the dlc the game is about 30-40 gigs (my wife has 3 dlc's and the game makes it 12 gigs).

Are there microtransactions? Technically yes, but you can disable seeing them and they are ussually for purely cosmetic items or don't really have an impact on the gameplay (you can also use fan made mods to get your own unique items) and basically function identically to the DLC.......its the Sims....your either gonna kill your own virtual family or raise them for several generations...... i am pretty sure its not a deal breaker for you if you don't buy the "Monte Carlo costume pack".

Why I like this game: FIrst time I played my wife died of natural causes and i played guitar for tips at her funeral (made like 2 thousand simolians in the process!). Another time the repairman died at my house and I had his spirit come by after that fixxing things at night if they were broken, my current game I am a wizard scientist and my wife is a fairy firefighter and we also run a beach side resort as a side buisness......most realistic simulation of life ever

Look, this game has been out for a couple of years and I'm still playing the living hell out of it. One might say I'm whittling my life away. I could indeed play sims 4, but with how much junk (expansions, lil things to buy from the store, mods) I'm still willing to stick with the game till probably forever. I mean, who doesnt like playing a God who puts burglar alarms outside the house to see burglars freak out as soon as they set foot on my lot? It's fun, I enjoy it.

This game was not what I expected it to be, it would be fun if it wouldn't crash everytime I wanted to make a sim

Sims 3 is a competent life simulation. it's somewhat heavy on the cleaning, homework, bad smells and bad moods for my taste, but that can be modified through programmed in cheat codes, along with money, housing, etc.

the reason I do NOT recommend the game is because the game constantly pushes the player to buy stuff inside the game for MORE MONEY. CONSTANTLY. Any time you add a couch or flower pot to your little sims' house, five much nicer options are presented that you have to pay real money for. This is very irritating and completely unnecessary.
Also, the player must purchase DLC for BASIC simulation areas like weather, beach visits, careers, etc. The whole thing is a pretty annoying money grab.
It's completely annoying that the player spends anywhere from $20 to $60 on a game and the game constantly pesters the player for more money.
I own many games and DLC that never pester the player for more money. Sims 3 is VERY unusual in this regard.
If you buy this game, do NOT spend more money for clothes, furniture, houses, etc. there are plenty of sites that offer free downloads of stuff that is much better than what is sold inside the game. Also there are many mods that improve this game for free.

I am done supporting this greedy company.
Reasonable Price:
Sims 3 vanilla $5
Sims 3 with all DLC bundle $60

Actual Price:
Sims 3 Vanilla $20
Sims 3 all DLC roughly $400
wtf is this?

Delete Micro payment option or give players at least the option to unlock new stuff by completing challenges.

This is a classic act of the Canadian Devil (south park reverence)

-start to learn magic until he learn fire spells,(i mean fire bending)

-he always had a wish to burn other sims.

-go around the town and set sims on fire.
________________________________________________

edit:

-made him blue and skinny.

-calld him "the avatar".

-fire lord hated him and start to fight him.

Still pretty good game but, too many high priced DLC's that offer too little. And this game crashes more than what skyrim was known for.
